Chapter 5: A haunting in Texas

Narrator: Kelly and Rachel, best friends, Bring their kids and move into a house in Texas.

Kelly: Hi I'm Kelly Richards. I'm 23 and I have two kids. I had my daughter while I was a teen, 16...and got pregnant with my son at 20. I am from Texas actually but my friend needed a roommate, so I thought why not.

Rachel: Hello I'm Rachel, Rachel Florez, I'm 27 and got 3 kids. One at 17, one at 20 and one with my ex boyfriend at 24. Me and Kelly are like sisters, we do lots together, we even play random games together. She's my best friend, since middle school...

Narrator: Kelly and Rachel move into the Texan home, built in the 1930's.

Kelly: I saw this house when I was a kid. My parents used to tell me that I can't go near there because a man was living in it, yet I looked inside and saw nothing in it.

Narrator: The house has been vacant since 1936. Nor do the people know, that the man who lived in it, died inside the house, or did he?

Rachel: Kelly was so happy to be in the house but I felt like I was never alone..

Narrator: Rachel refuses to stay home alone. Kelly wonders why...

Kelly: She told me if she stayed in the house alone she would move out instantly. So I had to call a few family members to stay for a while.

Narrator: Kelly invites her brother Kevin and her dad, Kenny. Kenny is also not into the house.

Kenny: Ever since Kev was born, that house has only caused me worries. I never thought Kelly would ever live in the house.

Narrator: As Kev and Kenny settle in, Kev goes through something that makes him question if he should stay.

Kevin: I agreed to move in with my sister but the first night made me want to leave. I was on the bed, working on my college stuff, and I heard footsteps in my room. I called my sister but remembered it was 2 am. So I ignored it since I assumed I was hallucinating. But then I got an email that scared me. I shut off my lights and fell asleep but I had nightmares about me being in this empty room, tied to a chair...it scared me.

Narrator: Kevin tells Kelly what went through...

Kelly: He was so scared. It was like he saw a ghost. My big brother is a Marine, and I never saw him look the way he did. It scared me to see him so freaked out.

Narrator: Kev tells Kelly everything, even shows her the email he got at 2:13 am.

Kelly: He told me he heard footsteps in his room. Heard voices, and he showed me the email he got and it scared me too. It said, "if you don't leave, I'll kill the kids", it worried me considering I have 2 kids. And godkids that I'm not ready to lose. I took his laptop and showed the police.

Narrator: The police feel like the email is a threat from someone who is upset that the family is in a place where they aren't welcome.

Kelly: The police asked for my address in case they need to secure the place, I told him and he froze.

Police Officer : She lives in a home where there were murders. I was worried about it because she mentioned that 5 kids live in the home and this email threatens to kill the kids...I told her to leave while we contact a medium to see if a spirit did this.

Narrator: Kelly and her family and friend leave the house and go to a hotel. While a medium is sent to the home.

Tim: Hi I'm tim, I'm a medium and have been into the spirit world for 30 years. I was worried that the kids were threatened...when kids are threatened, it usually means that the spirit is not a kid person and finds them a slight target since kids see and hear spirits. Which makes them a higher target.

Narrator: Tim investigates the house with his 4 team members: Matt, Olivia, Sammy, and Julia. Except Julia is a Wiccan.

Julia: I use my candles to call out to all spirits. I don't exactly like to but it is how I connect with the spirits.

Narrator: Julia and Sammy go upstairs to the bedrooms while Tim, Matt and Olivia stay on the main level.

"Hello, my name is Tim, this is Matt and Olivia. We are here to help you. But we can't if you don't let us. So, what is your name?" Tim asked.

Tim: We sat there for maybe 35 minutes and we suddenly got a voice.

Recording: "Get out, I want the kids..."

Tim: Hearing that not only scared me, but it made me worry for everyone's safety. This spirit hates kids and we can't figure out why.

Narrator: Meanwhile, upstairs.

Sammy: Hey I'm Sammy, this is my friend Julia. We heard about a man who scratches the kids. We had to figure out why.

"Hi, I am here to figure out why you are scratching the kids. Can you please tell me why?"

Recording: "No!"

Sammy: Hearing a man loudly say no to us shocked me, it took me by surprise in all honesty.

*I am sorry that I didn't finish it...but I don't have evidence that they figured out anything. Some say the people never made it out and that the place was never figured out, so that's all I know.
