"So, what do you want to do today?" my friend Morgen asked as we walked into our 7th period class; P.E. "Well, we played soccer yesterday, how about basketball?" my other friend Danielle suggested. "Sounds good to me." I said as I walked over to the other side of the gym to pick up a basketball. As I did, I looked over into a corner of the gym and saw Emmet Cullen; along with some of his siblings. They always did that. Just stood there in the corner, all by themselves. As if they didn't seem strange and mysterious enough as it is. They were all amazingly good looking, and yet for some reason, Emmet was the one that has always stuck out to me. He always seemed just a tad bit more beautiful in my eyes. But, I knew I would never have a chance with him. And to be honest, it seemed like no one in the entire school did. I had never actually tried talking to him before, which for me is unusual considering how outgoing I am, but for some reason, I just couldn't get the nerve to ever talk to him. Oh, well.

As I walked back to Danielle and Morgen, I saw that my other friend Jaimie had joined them also. Good, now we could play two against two. We got into pairs, me with Danielle and Morgen with Jaimie. After a while, Danielle and I were beginning to win. "Heck yeah! Me and Dani are AWESOME!" Danielle exclaimed as she gave me a high five. "Yeah we are!" I said with as much enthusiasm. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, you guys aren't that amazing." Jaimie said rolling her eyes. "Oh really? Because I'm pretty sure were the ones that have 12 points and you guys are the ones that have 6!" I said. "Oh, shut up." Morgen said then stuck her tongue out at me. "No, you!" I said as I kiddingly shoved her lightly. "Come on guys, let's get back to the game." Danielle said. "Ok, fine." I said laughing. It was then that I had the sudden feeling that someone was staring at me. I looked around the gym to see if anyone was looking in my direction, but saw no one. That is, until I looked over at the Cullens. Emmet was staring right at me with a very intense look on his face. My immediate reaction was to quickly look away, but for some reason, I just couldn't. And neither could he, apparently. As I continued to stare into his extraordinarily beautiful and perfect golden eyes, everyone must have realized that I was in a complete daze. "Hello!? Earth to Dani?" Danielle said as she waved her hand in front of my face, trying to get my attention. "Huh? What? Oh, yeah, sorry. Let's get back to the game." I said as I grabbed the ball.

As we continued our game, I couldn't help but be completely aware that Emmet was still staring at me. I tried to concentrate more on the what I was doing, but I just couldn't do it. Slowly but surely, me and Danielle were beginning to lose. "Hey Dani, are you ok? You seem kind of...not here." Danielle asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. I guess I just...umm...have a lot on my mind or something. It's no big deal though." I said, hoping she wouldn't ask me any more questions. Luckily, she didn't. The game started back up once again, and soon enough I found myself with the ball. I was going to try to make a shot but Morgen was blocking me and I figured I probably couldn't do it. So, I figured I better try to pass it to Danielle.

Now, what happened next, I will never forget. Ever. As I threw the ball to pass to Danielle, I must have been distracted. Because instead of throwing the ball at her, which I could have easily done any other time; it went right past her and went straight to...Emmet. It happened in an instant, and yet it felt like it happened in slow motion. All of a sudden Emmet was holding the ball. I stood there for a moment, in shock and unable to move. He didn't move either. Just stood there, staring at me, holding the ball. "Go over there and get it." Danielle said quietly as she nudged me.

And I did. I don't know how I did, but I did. As I slowly began to walk towards Emmet, I couldn't help but continue to stare at him. He was still staring at me after all, so why couldn't I stare back? Anyways, as I began to get closer, I couldn't help but notice just how incredibly beautiful he really was. His flawless alabaster skin, his perfectly placed dark hair, and like I said before those out of this world golden colored eyes...I then realized I was standing right in front of him. Maybe a foot away. And for some reason, in that moment, all of my shyness went away. I wasn't scared anymore. I felt like my normal self once again. "So, are you going to give us the ball back, or are you just going yo stand there and hold it all day?" I said playfully and smiled. To my surprise, he smiled back, showing off his perfect and brilliantly white teeth and said, "Hmm...I don't know, you did try to knock me out with this thing, after all." He then began to bounce the ball. "I didn't do it on purpose and you know it." I said. I then added, "You should know, considering how much you were staring at me." He looked as though he were trying to be serious, but he eventually couldn't help but crack a small smile. "So, what's your name?" He asked. "Why do you need to know?" I asked with a slightly smirky look on my face. "Well, you never know. If you keep being so violent I might have to end up getting a restraining order on you or something. And if I do, I would probably need to know your name." He said smirking also. Just as I was about to tell him my name, the bell rang. "Oh, sorry, I have to go!" I said as I began to walk away. "Hey, wait a second! What is your name?" he asked as I continued to slowly walk away. I turned around and said; "I guess you'll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out!" I said trying to stay serious, then quickly walked away, trying to not show how much I was beginning to smile insanely.
