Celeste's POV

"Are you really just going to shrug off the pent up frustration Mr. Sanders has been holding against you for the past months?" The guy beside me whispered

"I don't see any reason not to." I answered

"Celeste, you have been getting nothing more than straight F's in this subject ever since we became seniors at this uni."

"History bores me, and who could blame me? Look at the students around you. They're probably as bored as I am."

"But seriously, getting straight F's for the past months? You're lucky your uncle decides not to deal or meddle with any of this."

"He can't. I only get failures in history. So in short, it's not a serious problem."

"Well, that I agree." Then he went back to listen to the lecture.

A few minutes later...

"Hey, I've heard that Mr. Mars, our PE teacher, is gay. Would you believe it?!"

"I know you're bored Celeste, but please, not now or he'll send both of us out!"

"And not to mention having a damn pms everytime a cute girl catches every dude's attention."

"Celeste!"

"Huh, you're scared?"

"I'm not, I--"

"Ms. Edwards and Mr. Dawson, it seems like you have something far more important to discuss here rather than listening, so out! GET OUT OF MY CLASSROOM!"

As fast as we could, we grabbed all of our things and rushed out of the room.

"Why is every teacher getting a pms right now?! What is this, the Mars Syndrome?"

"Why can't you just get yourself out of trouble for a while? And why do I even have to be involved in all of this?"

"Birds of the same feathers stay together. Face it, Alex. You're stuck with me for the rest of your life!" I said as I led him out of the hall

"I didn't know that a troublemaker and a peacemaker stays together." He mumbled as he followed me.

By the way, I'm Celestine Edwards, but I prefer to be called Celeste. Don't mistake me as a dumb one just because of my constant F's in History. I just don't find any interest in listening to a monotonous professor.

Anyway, just as we were heading for the lockers, the bell rang. I went to my locker and left my books, noticing an envelope sticking out of it.

"Getting love letters again, I see. As expected of this uni's fashionista." Alex said, leaning on the locker beside mine.

Alex is my childhood bestfriend, and one of the people whom I can't live without. He knows everything about my family, friends, problems, and anything there is to know about me.

"Yeah, like countless of them every week."

"And you still did not manage to get yourself a boyfriend? Even straight girls go gay for you."

"I don't know. I'm just afraid of commitment."

"Didn't know you were a player."

"No, not that. I mean, you know, committing yourself to one person is a hard one, especially if he turns out to be the wrong one. Besides, how can I easily trust a person whom I don't know yet."

"Well, you've got a point, but you can't just go around and give people false hope."

"It's not like I've wanted to let them hope for nothing, it's just that I don't want to break other people's heart and at the same time mine."

"Torn in between. Let's just forget about it right now. It's not like he's asking you for an answer immediately. Do you even read them?"

"Of course! It'd be rude not to."

"By the way, I wanted to talk to you about something." I said, fidgeting.

"Sure, what?"

"It's about one of those secret admirers that send me letters."

"What about it?"

"He's so poetic and charismatic when he writes those words for me."

"And you're falling for him?"

"No, but I want to know who he is. He could be an interesting person, you know."

"Any hint?"

"Just the code-name "DAL."

"Strange. So you wish to write back?"

"Umm... kinda."

"Is that his only letter?"

"No, but they don't seem to give any clue about him. All of the words were about describing me."

"Just don't easily fall for a person you don't even know, ok?"

"Roger that."

He never fails to care about me. Although he keeps saying the same things when it comes to this, they never fail to make me smile. Just like that, he makes my day complete.
