"Two Birds" is a heart-warming and attention-grabbing story by chewymochi inspired by "Wolf Children"

The novel takes place in the present and spends most of it's time within the lower campus of Antelope Canyon School. Based upon some true events in chewymochi's life, the story is in the P.O.V. (Point Of View) of Sakura Ishida.

Ishida is half wolf half human, and lives in a family of that same heritage. However, her family is somewhat unbalanced. Her mother is a full human, while her father is half wolf. Ishida's younger sister is also half wolf, though she doesn't know the conflicts between her family. Sakura's younger sister goes by the name of Machiko Ishida. Machiko's mother, Ariana, tries her best to keep her young daughter away from other children. Akihiro, Sakura and Machiko's father, struggles to let his pups embrace their wolf side, while avoiding getting on Ariana's nerves. In the midst of this, Ariana is expecting a baby boy and plans to have him forget his wolf blood.

Half wolf half human creatures are given Japanese names, mostly because the wolf blood started in Japan. Ariana was full human, hence her American name.

While at Antelope Canyon, Sakura discovers her affection on a fellow sixth-grade student by the name of Xavier Winter. She tries to concentrate on her studies, but her mind immediately goes back to Xavier. When it comes to love or being a wolf, Sakura goes through an adventure to find her choice.
