Jae pov:
I was sitting in my room trying to do my homework when I heard a huge crash from the room next door. I groan, at this rate I'll never graduate from high school. I grudgingly get up to check what the commotion was.

What surprised me was when I opened the door (after knocking of course), I wasn't expecting my roommate to be in bed, sleeping, but his body thrashing all around the bed. The huge crash, I discovered, was his lamp falling over and hitting his alarm.

Once I realised what was happening, I ran over to him to try to wake him up. "Wonpil? Wonpil wake up" I tried whispering

All of a sudden he let out a yell of despair, shocking me and making me realise that I absolutely HAVE to wake him up within the next minute or else who knows what'll happen.

Thinking as quick as possible, I jumped on top of his body, pinning his body down. Then I again whispered in his ear, this time successfully waking him up.

When his brain registered what was going on, he sits up suddenly, accidentally launching me to the other side of the bed.

"Wonpil are you okay? What happened?" I asked him, worried for my roommate of two years, and best friend of 9 years.

Just me asking that made him burst into tears and start to koala hug me. "J-jae I was so scared, m-my parents were staying for the w-weekend and all of a sudden all of m-my exes came into their room and t-tried to force them to t-tell them where I was. And then y-you heard the yells and yelps from the room s-so you ran i-into there and they all h-hate you so they threw things a-at you, and then r-realised that I wouldn't come back to any of them a-as long as y-you were a-alive, s-so they stabbed you a-and then left t-through the w-window. A-and then I walked i-in there r-right as they were leaving a-and so t-they threw a l-lamp at my head and then s-split. J-jae please don't l-leave me" he kept saying stuff after that, but he was so hysterical I couldn't understand.

Knowing I had to do something, I started to run my fingers through his hair, "hush wonpil, it was just a really messed up dream, it wasn't real. Don't worry I won't leave you, I promise. If you are really worried, I'll miss class tomorrow and we can call your parents to make sure they're safe, okay?" He nodded, still clinging to me. I kissed his forehead, and then gently loosened his grip a little so he could look me in the eyes. "Do you want to go to the kitchen? I can make some hot chocolate, okay? How does that sound? "

He nodded, and finally let go of me and stood up, only for him to interlock our fingers once I got up.

Once we had our hot chocolate in front of us, I decided this was the time to talk, since we probably wouldn't be sleeping for a while. "Hey wonpil?"

"Hmm?" He replied, not trusting his voice to not crack.
"Honey this is the 3rd time this month. Eventually you're going to need to tell me why all of them have involved me getting hurt by someone trying to get back at you. I want to help you, but I find it difficult to do that without having any other details"

Instead of answering my question, he stood up and asked me to go with him to the sitting room. I went, hopefully to get answers.

Once we had sat down on the couch, he turned to me with a serious look on his face that told me not to ask unnecessary questions. "Well jae, it turns out, all those times that you told me that those girls and boys were after me for my money and my looks, I thought you were just trying to take away my happiness. Whenever they would break up with me because I refused to have sex with them, I would be sad because you were right, every.single.time.

I kept getting boyfriends and girlfriends in hopes of finding someone to love me for who I am, for my personality, who would be there for me when I need them. Basically, I was trying to find someone like you. You've been there for me since elementary school, so thank you for still being here. I love and appreciate you more than you'll ever know. And don't worry about not feeling the same way because I just want you by my side, even if I'm by your side watching you get married to someone else. Just please, continue to stay with me. "

By the time he finished talking he was crying, and I hate when he cries so I started crying too, and soon we were both just blubbering messes.

I couldn't believe he was holding all of this in, for who knows how long. "I love you too wonpil. I really mean it. It hurts everytime you cry, and whenever you smile I swear the entire room lights up because you are the light of my world. Will you be my boyfriend so we can be by each other's sides for as long as possible?"

Instead of answering me verbally, he just pulled my head towards him until our lips met. "I love you jae. Now how about we make food? I'm hungry"
"Okay well last one to the kitchen has to cook" and all you could hear was our laughter as we ran down the hallway
