Chapter 1- Louis
I was 16 years old, regular night, cooking dinner with my mum. Of course that was before she told me I was born into one of the most powerful bloodlines of witchcraft ever. Anyway, I was stirring the macaroni and thinking about the new boy at school. He was cute as hell, oh yeah and I'm gay. I could feel my face burning as I thought about him. The macaroni began heating up and steaming, more than usual.
"Muuum?" I called out, the pan was turning red. "MOTHER?!" The pan exploded sending macaroni everywhere. All I could do was stand there with my mouth agape as my mum walked in.
"Honey, I think we should talk." She started towards my father's old study. He died in a house fire, my mum and I were shopping at the market when it happened. She walked by a few bookcases and pulled a book with a symbol on it. It was two crescent moons mirroring a full moon. The bookcase shifted sideways and opened up into a bright hallway with blue flamed torches. My mum smiled and nudged me forward,
"Go on. Nothing to be afraid about." I slowly walked down the hallway, which was full of doors with symbols on them. "This is the Hallway of Inventory. These doors lead to rooms filled with stuff you might need in the future. Everywhere you live, this hallway will appear as another door. The door at the end of the hall is the library. Most witches spend most of their time in the library. Speaking of witches, you are a descendent of the Tomlinson witches. No one has heard of them because we've decided to stay hidden. We're more powerful than the Salem witches, Lou. Take your time to take it in, I'll be making dinner."
I stood in the library, wide eyed, as I scanned all the books around me. Each bookshelf had to be 20 feet tall and there were movable ladders everywhere. I walked to the table in the middle of the room and sat down. There was a big, old, dusty book with a star inside of a circle on the front. I remembered the symbol from a movie, I think it's called a pentagram. I opened the first page and read it aloud, "The Tomlinson Grimoire." I turned the page and saw the same symbols as I saw on the doors in the Hallway of Inventory. They meant Alchemy, Spellcraft, Charging, and Garden. The alchemy room had brewing stands, a cauldron, and shelves upon shelves of empty glass vials and strange ingredients. The spellcraft room was where you performed spells. There was a giant pentagram in the middle of the floor and an altar table with lit candles on it. The charging room was a balcony with 20 tables or so. The moon was shining it's light onto the tables. The garden was, well a garden. There were many plants growing all including Thyme, rosemary, thistle, roses, beecombs, nightshade, lavender, and a bunch of exotic flowers I've never seen before.
I went back into the library and turned the page. The top of the page labeled 'Creature of the Moon' and I subconsciously smiled.
