September 12th, 1964.
Journal, here we are.
Finally.
Here I am in Los Angeles, where I'm now living with my fiancé Dan.
A place to start new and finally make some damn good money! It was a rough start finding some place and someone to sign onto me, but we finally did it!
Our new journey is only around the corner!
California..Wow..
Such a beautiful place.
Dan and I approached our new home.
"Can you believe it, Dan? We made it! We're getting famous. We're going to have money!" I squealed in excitement as I turned to Dan.
"Yeah, great isn't it? At least we get some privacy here, except we do have one pair of neighbors next door.." He looked to the house next to ours. Iit was bigger than ours.
I suppose more people live there.
"I wonder who lives next door.." I said quietly to myself
I felt Dan wrapped his free arm around my waist.
"Now come on, baby. We've got some unpacking to do." He smiled at me as he held my hand, guiding me indoors.
~~~~~~~~~~
We had spent the last 3 hours unpacking everything.
I'm surprised we had gotten it done so quickly.
As I placed another picture down on the table, a knock echoed throughout the house.
I softly gasped, "I'll get it Dan!" I yelled in the house, wherever Dan could've been.
I opened the door, gasping as four young men stood in front of me.
The man smiled kindly at me. "Hello there, love. We're your neighbors. I'm Paul-"
My eyes widened. "You're The Beatles" I said, feeling starstruck.
Paul cleared his throat, obviously thrown off at the fact I interrupted him.
Am I seriously standing in front of The Beatles? I mean, I've only heard of them back in June. June must've been a big month for them because Beatlemania sure hit America hard.
A Hard Day's Night was released at the end of June. The record, that is. The record itself made the charts but the movie definitely gave The Beatles their fame, I believe.
"Uh... Yeah, we are. I guess we don't need to introduce ourselves then." Paul awkwardly chuckled, running his hand through his hair.
"May I ask, who are you?" Paul asked.
I blushed slightly, "My name is Lily Moore. I live here with my fiancé Dan..."
"Lily... My, what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl like you." Paul holds onto my hand, gently kissing it.
I softly giggled.
"How old are you, love?" Paul asked me.
"Eighteen," I softly said.
Paul raised an eyebrow, "Aren't you a little young to be getting married?" Paul winked at me.
I blushed even more.
"Well.. Love is love" I smiled, shrugging.
Paul smirked, "If you say so," He quietly said, straightening up.
“Would you guys like to come in? I'm sure Dan wouldn't mind." I quickly said.
"We'd love t-" John hit Paul.
"Okay, Charmly. Enough." John smirked.
I moved to the side, opening the door some more to let the boys in.
"Make yourselves are home, and I guess we will as well." I smirked.
Ringo chuckled. "It's a nice little home you've got 'ere," He said.
I've never heard any of them talk before but damn.. They all have pretty deep voices, don't they?
"Dan? Come here, Hun. Our neighbors are here!" I shouted, trying to find Dan.
Footsteps ran up the stairs.
"I'm here, I'm here.." Dan mumbled. I could tell he was already irritated.
Dan looked at the boys.
Yes, he knows who they are. Is he fond of them? No.
Dan stared at the boys in disgust. "Ah, I see The Beatles are our neighbors.. How... Nice.." He forced a smile.
I sighed. Can’t he get along with anybody anymore?
Dan cleared his throat, "I'm-"
"Dan, yes, Lily told us who you are. Nice to met you, Dan." John said, forcing a smile as he shook Dan’s hand.
Dan frowned. "Ah.. Well, Lily can say a lot of things, but alright. Um, darling we actually need to finish unpacking some more. Would you mind leading the boys out?" Dan said irritated even more.
I sighed, “Babe, I think they should stay. It would be rude to ask them to leave now.” I said in a pleading tone.
Dan glared at me, giving me his warning look.
Paul gulped, standing there awkwardly. “We can help unpack if you’d like!” He smiled.
“Shouldn't have to rush us off so soon, right?” Ringo chuckled.
I smiled, “See, Dan? They can help. We should get to know our neighbors.” I said, patting Dan’s back gently.
Dan glared at me, “We have to take care of some private things..” He said, gritting his teeth.
I frowned, "Alright.. Come on, boys" I sighed.
I walked them to the door, "I'm sorry about Dan. He's just tired right now. I'm sure we can hang again sometime though. Come over anytime." I smiled at them.
"Alright! Lovely meeting you Lily!" Paul smiled at me back.
"You can come over late if you'd like," Ringo suggested.
I weakly smiled, "I'll see if I can," I mumbled.
"Lovely meeting you all as well" I slowly closed the door.
I frowned, knowing what my punishment would be.
I smoothed my green dress that hugged my small curves.
Please don’t. You’re a strong woman, Lily.
You just haven’t discovered that yet..
I forced a smile, walking up to Dan.
“Sorry about that, darling. Let’s get unpa-” Dan interrupted me by slapping me as hard as he could across my face, causing me to fall to the floor onto the vase.
“YOU DON’T DISOBEY ME, GIRL!” He shouted.
I whimpered, wiping the glass off of my face.
“D-Dan! I’m sorry!” I cried.
Dan grabbed me harshly by my arm, giving me another slap across the face.
“Don’t talk back.” He growled, dropping me on the ground again.
I took in a sharp breath, feeling glass cut into my hand.
"AND THE NEXT TIME, DON’T INVITE THOSE BOZOS INSIDE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, YOU TWAT!" He slapped me across the face, once again.
"Y-yes Dan.. I-I understand!” I cried.
"Good... Now be a good girl and fetch your lover some whiskey... We're going to have some fun tonight" He smirked, walking away from me.
I frowned, slowly getting up from the glassed floor.
This is gonna be a long night..
