This sky is glittered by a starry night,
Broken wishes rain down luminous gold.
These showers of meteors so bright.
I grasp those stars in my fragile hands and hold tight,
I will not let go till I am grey and old.
This sky is glittered by a starry night.
Sparks of silver and maroon sail like a kite
Through a windy gust, colors so bold.
These showers of meteors so bright.
I try to catch these falling pieces of light
And take for granted what I behold.
This sky glittered by a starry night.
If I blink will shadowy clouds cover my painted sky? They might.
Without their dreams the horizon is dark and cold.
These showers of meteors so bright.
To dim this explosion would not be right,
So let us watch the night unfold.
This sky glittered by a starry night,
These showers of meteors so bright.
