Winter makes it to the headquarters building. She is nervous, but she is ready for whatever is to happen to her. She knows that she's the only one that can save her daughters. She failed them once and she swore that will never happen again. Winter has never been so turnt in her life. The game has just begun.

They walk through the door and sat they stuff down. Brooklyn and Monica didn't know what to do. They certainly didn't know how to act to around their mother. The girls didn't know how to feel about the things that was going on. Brooklyn didn't like  what was going on. She kept it quiet for now at least.

Winter is waiting for the detective on her case. She knows that her girls are confused and she hated it. What they thought was normal wasn't normal. Like they life was a big lie. Winter just stared at her kids from a distance. Holding back all her tears. Her heart was saddened by things that was taking place. This was her way of getting justice. Even though she might have to start all the way over.

Winter wiped her face cause she see saw the detective. Winter knows that she can't show any emotions right. So, she tightened up. Her and the detective met in the middle.

"Are you okay?" Detective Julie wondered.

"I never felt any better." Winter had a look of fire in her eyes.

Julie had directed Winter and the girls  to a room. Julie had they case all over the table. Papers marked in red pen. So many things circled and written in the corners. They couldn't believe it. Their mother really talked to the police.

"Girls are you hungry?" Julie asked.

"Definitely!" The girls said in gunison.

"We have a taco bar down on level 2. You guys are welcome. They are expecting your arrival." Julie smile was so perfect.

The girls went to go eat some tacos. Julie was happy cause she wanted to talk to Winter all to herself. She didn't really want to involve the kids. Julie didn't want the kids to pick sides. She don't want the girls to feel any type of way between their parents.

"Winter what does the girls know about what's going on right now?" Julie wondered.

"All they know is that we are here and they have no choices but to come with me." Winter eyes looked hurt and at the same time it has this fire beyond them.

"That's good. The less they know the better. We don't want them confused. Or trying to talk to their father. You understand Winter?" Julie asked.

Winter replied, "Definitely. Now where do we go from here."

"We change you guys phone numbers and things. Have to put you guys in a house outside the city. Just until we are done with all of this." Julie responded.

Winter didn't like that idea. She wasn't going to be anywhere that's too far away from Rose. "I'm not leaving my daughter behind. So you have to keep me here. Their isn't any other ways around it." Winter sat up in the chair.

"Look Winter, I understand where you are coming from. This is the best way to protect your family. You have to think about it." Julie also sat up.

"I'm not afraid of him. Whatever is gone happen I rather be here. At least it's close to her. You won't and can't make me leave her." Winter stood up.

"Okay no need to get hostile. I was just letting you know the things on how this procedure works. You will have to change all you guys information. All the important stuff. Winter you can't be defiant right now. This is critical and highly important." Julie pushed back a stack of papers.

"What are these?" Winter looked at the papers.

"Just papers that you need to sign that you understand all the terms that I'm saying to you. That you know that you have to be under a different name and change your life until the end of this." Julie said as gives a pen to Winter.

Winter goes over everything carefully.  She didn't realize it was so much to this. As she signs her name on all the papers, she plays all the years of her marriage to James. She never knew the darkness that laid inside the man that she once thought she knew. Winter just thought it was crazy how you could be with someone and not even know them. Winter heart was broken cause she still loves James. Her anger for what he has done to their kids and their family wiped out the sadness. Winter signs the last page of papers and pushed them towards Julie.

"Mrs. Johnson I know that this was hard for you. I promise this would get easier over time. We would help you with counseling after." Julie says that as they stood up and gets packed up to leave.

"My name is Winter Charles. My marriage is over." Her eyes was pierced with hatred.

"Well let's go show the girls the house that will be living in. Everything is fully furnished. Food is stacked. Each of you guys have your own debit cards. Now the money only is limited for you Winter. So that means you will have to get a job. We will help you along the way with that." Julie said as they were leaving the room.

It has been years since Winter had a real job. She was scared. At the same time she was anxious. Starting over was something that she knew that her girls needed. In the back of her mind she thought about James. What was he going to do if he was to find her. Then again she wasn't afraid.

They pulled up to this beautiful house. It was in a pretty rough neighborhood. She knew the point was for her to blend in. The house on the inside looked better than the outside. Everything was like how Julie discribed. Winter liked the new house. She thought that was going to go to the projects or in some low budget quality home. It was the complete opposite.

"All of you guys are under a new name. For now forget your old life cause it no longer exists. Your mother will explain the rest to you. Make sure you guys are in uniform for class tomorrow. You guys are start at Washington in the morning. Good night. " Julie walked out the door.

Monica and Brooklyn was shocked. They didn't know what was going on. Honestly they thought life was over. Switching to a new school at this point is suicidal to the high school world. Brooklyn was beyond pissed. Her life uprooted for something doesn't know about.

"What hell is going on mom? All of this for what? Where is dad? Damn mom what you do?" Brooklyn plopped on the couch.

Winter walks over there. She looks at Monica. "Monica go get ready for bed so I can talk to your sister." Monica walks quietly up the stairs.

Winter waits until she hears Monica door shuts. She turns and look Brooklyn. Winter stands up and slaps Brooklyn. Brooklyn holds her face in shock. She was so angry that she swung back. Winter choked the little bitch up in the air. She temporarily snapped. When she clicked back in she throws Brooklyn on to the couch. Brooklyn gasping for her breath.

"Look here little bitch you are the child and I'm the adult. You forgot that over the years but I'm hear to remind you. I run this house now. If you don't wanna by my rules theirs the door. So choose wisely." Winter stood over Brooklyn.

Monica runs down the stairs. "Mom what is going on?"

"She thinks she's grown so she can either stay or leave." Winter waits for Brooklyn response.
