Vega looked down solemnly at the fallen, injured star-child in her hands. She then looked up slowly at the stars twinkling above her, thinking about how it didn't have to be this way.
"The star-people are quickly dying," she said, slowly turning around to face the others. "and we must protect them. They are in grave danger."
"Vega, there's nothing we can do," Orión said, "We can't do anything without Lúa's power, but we all know what happened to her the last time she tried to use her powers to save them."
"You appear to be unaware of who this star-child is, then," Altair said, not taking his eyes off of the injured star-child, still in his star form.
"Altair is right, and besides, I. . .I promised him, remember?" Vega muttered.
Orión was about to open his mouth to retaliate, but stopped when the star-child that Vega was holding started to wake up.
"V-Vega, what. . .happened?" the star-child slowly asked.
Vega only smiled. She didn't know how to tell him that the Eye of Heaven was the cause of all of this; not without it absolutely shattering his reality. He wasn't ready quite yet, she thought.
"You fell out of the sky, we're not entirely sure why yet." Altair said, glancing up at Vega and meeting her eyes, silently asking why she wouldn't tell the poor, unnamed star-child the truth. She only gave him a soft, closed-eyed smile in response.
"Oh," the star-child said, "where's Auriga?"
Vega's smile faded, and her eyes dropped. The fall had made him forget the incident that had been labeled as an "accident". She decided it would be best not to remind him; he had already been through enough.
"I-I am not sure," Vega stuttered nervously, "but I am sure that she is happy, waiting for you."
The star-child smiled happily. "Oh, thank goodness! I was so worried."
Vega hated herself in this moment. She hated giving the poor child false hope — but she didn't know what else to do.
"Hey, are you feelin' alright, kid?" Orión asked. "That was a pretty nasty fall ya took there."
"Oh, uh, yes, I feel surprisingly alright, especially knowing that everyone else is ok." the star-child answered.
"I am glad," Vega said, trying her best to smile, "but we must talk about other important matters for now. You are the one who is unable to retain a human form, yes?"
The star-child, who was now sitting up in Vega's hand, looked down is shame. "Yes, I am."
"Good," Vega said "because that is what the prophesy has said. 'A child from the heavens will fall down to earth, who is unable to be human.'"
The star-child looked up at her, stunned. "What are you talking about, Vega?"
Vega paused for an unusual amount of time, and then proceeded to look back up at the sky, towards the star-people. "Hey, I want you to look up there," she said, pointing up, "Tell me what you see."
The star-child looked up to where she was pointing, and was immediately in awe. "Wow, is this what we look like to you earthlings? I never realized how amazing we looked to others."
Vega chuckled. "Earthlings, hmm. . . ."
"We're going to help them," Altair said, "Your people don't deserve what's happening to them."
The star-child looked at him in confusion. "What do you mean? Everyone is happy."
"You are deserving of a name." Vega suddenly said, trying to change the subject.
"What do you mean, Vega?" the star-child asked. "I cannot keep my human form, so why would I be deserving of something so special as a name?"
She was silent for a moment, before answering, "Because you are going to help everyone."
Orión suddenly interrupted, asking, "What should we name him?"
Vega stared at the star-child for a minute before answering, "Gemini."
"Why Gemini?" Orión asked.
"It was his star sign."

"One day, I want to shine as bright as the Eye of Heaven." Gemini said in awe.
Veta could only sniffle in response, leading to crying and then to sobbing. "Y-yeah, as bright as the Eye of. . . ." Her sentence trailed off, as she could not stop her violent sobbing.
