CHAPTER SIXTEEN.

Olivia found Arden sitting in a corner of a bathroom, staring at the floor. When Olivia was by her side she finally snapped out of it.

Liv held her daughters shoulders to get a look at her, mentally taking notes while pure anger and hurt swept through her veins.

"What happened?"

Arden wiped the tears from her cheeks and shook her head. "Nothing. I want to go home."

"Sweetheart," Olivia soothed, "I need you to be honest with me here okay so that we can sort this out."

"Nothing h-happened, he got angry grabbed my shirt for a second and pushed me down when his mom walked by."

Olivia felt unsure, it took a lot of strength not to find William and hurt him. She pulled her daughter into her embrace.

"Okay, let's go home."

Olivia spoke to the foster parents while Arden waited in the car, they were now refusing to say anything in order to protect their son. As much as Liv wanted to get to the bottom of the story she knew Arden needed her, so she called Fin and briefly explained what happened so that he could start working on it.

When they got home Olivia helped Arden change out of the ripped shirt and they climbed into Olivia's bed.

"Thank you for coming to get me, and for believing me."

Liv kissed the top of her head, "I will always be there for you Arden I promised you that. I would go to the ends of the earth for you and your brother, I will always protect you."
