HUNTER

Oh, no. There's about to be a repeat performance and it's not going to have a pretty ending.

One second Luxor and Hunter were conversing, well more like he was being a pain, and the next Luxor turned into a different person. Possessed by her inner demons she left this world to one where Hunter couldn't contact her. Beside him she had become rigid, fury had injected into her.

Pale blue coloured eyes.

Those enchanting orbs held an immense amount of hate, pain and confusion.

And they were locked on Hunter's.

Luxor continued to shake, it was minor but he surely doubted they would stay that way. He was witnessing her pain, and all he could do was cradle her in his arms.

Luxor stop.

Hunter spoke clearly to her mind. He learned the moment he met her that he was able to do that. Her mind was an open book solely belonging to him, unprotected and lacking in security. It had been fun messing with her, she took the bait all too easily and the frustrated expressions brought out this happiness in him he couldn't define. But now it was being used for a good advantage.

Hunter clasped her shoulder, the spike in her body  temperature burnt him as her anger rolling off Luxor in waves, not a ripple, but a tsunami in action. Instinctively he knew what was coming, and it wouldn't end well. It didn't end well last time.

He jumped to attention when she rose from the chair.

Luxor, Luxor. Don't make me hurt you.

Hunter internally commanded her. Luxor faced him, but when she did it broke him. Her eyes were vacant, her inner lights eradicated as if the spark had been extinguished. He feared that she was too far gone to even recognised him, and was gazing at him confused as if seeing him for the very first time.

Hunter hated that he wanted to know the little things, he longed to find out what colour her eyes were; as with all nephilims, their looks were exaggerated versions of what they were. Were hers a chocolate brown, or forest green? Right now they were blue, an aqua tinge encompassing her pupils. No matter what, they would be vibrant, like her veins.

A calmness overtook her and Hunter relaxed. It was over. Suddenly she flinched at a female's voice across the room.

Scarlett.

This was all on her. Hunter would never, ever hit a female, he was taught better, but for her, he'd make an exception. Scarlett taunted and threatened to expose her. It was ironic because Hunter was no better, he wasn't evil but he wasn't bad either. He had just done the same, the only difference was he already had the informs and it was privy to him and wouldn't be used in any circumstances.

In his life, he had to do questionable things to survive, but at least he wasn't alone, he had three people that stood by his side. He had to be that for Luxor, she had no-one. Meredith was neglectful and never there when Luxor needed her the most.

Luxor, Luxor. Don't make me hurt you.

He streamed his voice into her ear, trying hard not to scare her.

With a firm grip he clasped her shoulders as she continued to shake and burn up. Not contemplating his actions and as much as he didn't want to he had to spook her, make her jump, there was no other choice, Luxor had to snap out of the battle that was going on in her brain.

Hunter scrapped his nails down her arms, as deep as he could go through her top. Gashes would rise tomorrow, but he didn't care, if she didn't wake up, nobody would be here to witness it.
