"I can't believe he would do something like this!" Jonathan Payne bellowed as he flung the glass of liquor at the unblemished walls of the drawing room, the liquid leaving stains that wouldn't be the last in the days to come. "That fiend!"

"You need to calm down, Father!" Rebecca rushed to Jonathan's side to quieten him. "What if someone hears? If the King is hunting down all the families that are still following the Olden Ways, nobody here is safe. There might be spies lurking around and you are definitely not helping the cause."

"Rebecca's right, Uncle. The King would do anything to wipe the Payne family off the face of earth and who knows what devices he had employed to prove that we are at fault. Hence it is wise to do all that we can to keep us safe and not attract unnecessary attention",  said Adrienne Beddingfield, Astoria's sister's daughter, tried to persuade her uncle.

Astoria sighed and walked over to her husband, putting a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. "Thanks for letting us know, Adrienne. We appreciate it." She smiled at her niece.

"This is the least I can do for all you have done, Aunt Astoria," she smiled.

"How did Lucas allow you to visit us?" Rebecca questioned."He would literally never leave your side. I've hardly seen you without him around."

"Oh, he actually wanted me to come here. He wants me to talk some sense into Liam before he turns eighteen. To make him understand that- "

She was cut off by Rebecca, "He basically wants you to tell Liam that its better to submit to the King rather than deny him."

"I can't even protect my own son from that devil of a man," Jonathan huffed angrily before downing a little more liquor he had found in the cabinet.

"It's okay, father. Don't take this hard on yourself." She patted his before continuing, "Maybe this is all an act. Maybe Liam seduced the King into wanting him and making him his whore-"

The words had hardly left he mouth before Jonathan's hand collided with her cheek. "Don't you ever dare to think low of your brother!" He bellowed. The King's obsession with his son was the only thing that was keeping his family safe and the little bit of liquor he needed in his system. He was at his most twisted and violent form at the moment, he didn't even care he had hit his daughter whom he had raised like a princess. "He is sacrificing his everything to keep this family safe and you are calling him a whore!? Stop being so spiteful to your brother and accept that you are lucky you weren't picked up by the King. Stop being jealous, one day, it is going to cost you you brother and he'll be gone somewhere you won't be able to see him ever again."

The room was silent for a few seconds before Adrienne spoke up, "Where are my Guinevere and the boys? And the little Paynes?"

"They'll be in their rooms or out in the garden," Astoria replied.

Adrienne excused herself and went to see her siblings and the Payne children.

"You need to call off the Cadwalader family execution Zayn." Harry said looking at his bestfriend across the table. They were currently seated in Zayn's office, that had been restored to normalcy after Zayn's outburst a week ago, on the night of Liam's birthday party.

"Are you joking? Harry? Why would I do that?" Zayn looked up from his file and gave harry a look as if he had grown two heads, "Did you lose your mind while fucking that blonde with the big tits the other day?" He asked with a smirk.
