“Mommy, daddy? Where are you? Please stop hiding.” Ava called. She’s a little thing, after all she was only 6 years old. She had been woken up in the middle of night due to howling and screaming. She stayed in her room until it died down, before creeping out into the hall. It was the middle of the night, and completely dark. Her little feet were pattering down the hall towards her parents bed room.
She opened the door to her parents room, only to be greeted by a horrific sight. Her mother and father dead, lying on the bed. The window was open, the curtains flowing around every way. Little Ava stepped closer to the bed, when the door flew open with a bang. Her brother who was her twin and sister who was 7 stepped inside. Her brother gasped, and her sister started crying.
“It’s your fault!” Adrian yelled at Ava, and pointed his finger.
“What?! No, I didn’t do it.” Ava, cried. Addison stopped crying and glared at her. She walked over and glared down at her.
“Liar.” She said and slapped her.

I woke up panting and sweating. I’ve never had a dream that vivid before. I glanced at the clock and groaned. It was only 5::55. Oh well, I thought, might as well get breakfast ready early. I slowly crawled out of bed and had to bite my lip to hold back a groan. I lifted my shirt and glanced down at the giant bruise that took up half of side.
I pulled my shirt down and walked into what I called a “bathroom,” it was barely bigger than closet. I glanced in the mirror. Standing in front of me was a girl who had been through hell. But she was a fighter. She was strong.
I walked out of the bathroom and crept downstairs. The house was quiet, but not for long. I walked into the kitchen and started to make breakfast. I was the omega “the odd one out” as you would call it. My brother and sister turned the pack against me and blamed for my parents death.
But it wasn’t me. Nobody believed me though. So here I was being treated as a slave. My wolf, Luna, was always telling me I was destined for something greater. But if I was, then why was I stuck here? That’s what I thought.
Soon I finished cooking breakfast for the pack. Which by the way was around 300 people. That was a lot of pancake mix and bacon to cook. As soon I put the last stack on the dining table I heard the thundering of feet. I walked back into the kitchen, to get a pitcher of water and orange juice.
I walked into the dining room where everyone was seated and started pouring their cups. I was interrupted by a shrill scream.
“AVA! Get over here, like right now!” my older sister Addison yelled. I sighed and walked over to where she was sitting.
“Yes?” I asked.
“I want a FREAKING fruit salad! Not some stack of pancakes and bacon! Thats only food for fatsos like you!” she screamed in my face. I nodded and walked back into the kitchen.
“Oh and Ava,” she called out just as I had turned away.
“Yes?” I turned back to her.
“Nice dress.” She said and I looked down.
“Huh?” I looked back up to see she was wearing a smirk. Oh-no. She stood up and walked over to me.
“I said.” She held her glass of orange juice over my head. “nice dress.”
With that she poured the juice all over me. The whole pack started laughing while my eyes filled up with tears. What had I done to deserve this? I ran up the stairs as Luna talked to my in my head.
Ava! I will not take this anymore. We are leaving now! She yelled and I wince.
Yeah, yeah okay. Please though, next time, don’t yell.
Sorry ‘bout that. Luna said and I smiled. It was nice to know your wolf was always there for you.
I ran down the hall only to bump into someones hard chest. Tingles were sent down my whole body and my wolf screamed Mate!
“Mate.” I said and the person immediately stepped away from me. My wolf whimpered, and I glanced up. Only to meet the cold hard eyes of Blake Hunter. The future alpha of my pack, and my sisters boyfriend.
“Hell no.” He said and I felt my heart shatter.
