Finn was highly worried about Chloe, considering she's new and doesn't know what the people here are like. Especially what Finn's friends are like.
He stopped at his house first, to retrieve the motorcycle that he had, just like Mason's. He didn't even bother to wear a helmet. He was too anxious to find Chloe.
He blamed himself for this.
"I should've never left her"
he thought.
"alone."
-
He parked the motorcycle, careful not to damage anything, and ran into the house.
He started yelling out her name.
"Chloe?" He called out.
He couldn't find her.
"woah there, Wolfhard. slow down, have a drink." one of Finn's friends suggested. "No thanks, I'm good." Finn glared at the boy. "alright, suit yourself." the boy said, with his hand in the air. "wait, have you seen a girl with brown hair? green-ish eyes? she's new here?" Finn asked.
"Chloe?"
"yes!"
"right, she's in the back room to the right. is she you're girlfriend or something?" The boy asked.
"n-no, well not really." Finn admitted.
"well, I think you should head back there now."
"what do you m-"
Finn was so confused and he wanted an answer, but the boy just winked and walked away.
So Finn ran into the room that his friend showed him.
The door was open and when Finn was about to walk in, at that moment his heart felt like it broke into one million little pieces.
He saw Chloe and Mason making out.
He wasn't just hurt, he was furious.
He knew that mason was just using her.
"Hey Mason."
Mason got off of Chloe and turned around.
Finn went up to him and punched him square in the face.
Since Mason was now knocked out on the floor, Finn grabbed Chloe's hand and raced out of the house. Chloe was somewhat sober now, but not really. So she was able to hold onto Finn's waist when they got on the motorcycle.
"you have one of these too??" Chloe gasped.
Finn nodded.
he didn't exactly feel like talking at the moment.
He wasn't even dating the girl and he already felt like he needed to protect her.
But it wasn't just that. There was a hint of jealousy in him, but he didn't know why.
"That's so cool!" Chloe Giggle, still containing the alcohol.
Finn sighed.
He decided to take her to his house tonight, since her parents would be mad if she was home so late.
He took her phone and simply texted her parents that she was staying at a friends house over night.
He didn't want her to be in trouble, like he usually was.
-
The drive to Finn's house was short and silent. Chloe was pretty sober now, just a bit tipsy. But she could still understand what was going on around her.
When they got there, Finn took her up to his room.
"I-if you want you can borrow my pajamas." he said, pointing to a drawer.
Chloe replied with a simple "Ok" and headed for the bathroom to change.
"Finn took off his shoes and jacket and placed his head in his hands. He didn't understand how you could be so jealous over someone you barely just met. He needed time to process his feelings. Something he hasn't needed to do in a long time.
Chloe came out of the bathroom, wondering why Finn was so quite.
"Finnie?"
"hm?" he looked up, noticing her in only his oversized shirt.
He couldn't help but look.
Chloe seemed to take notice of this, but instantly shook it off.
"are you ok?" she asked, sitting down next to him.
"m-me? yeah, yeah I'm fine." He lied. He actually didn't know what he was.
"you sure"
he nodded.
"well, thanks for taking care of me." she hazily said, leaning her head on his shoulder.
Finn was surprised by her actions, but smiled, not wanting them to end.
"any time."
and she started to fall asleep.
