A knock came on their door early the next morning, the sea mist still low over the town. Percy and Amy only had a few things so had packed them all in one rucksack which Percy had offered to carry. They were told they could leave most of their clothes as the place in England already had them.

Amy yawned and walked over to the window, looking down at the black car that would take them away from the place they had lived most of their lives. Percy was slow at getting up and Amy was already dressed.

"We're actually leaving this place" Amy looked around the room.

"It's slightly scary now that it's happening" Percy grabbed a t-shirt from the end of his bed.

"I'm gonna go down, I'll take the rucksack"

"Ok, will be down in a min"

Amy walked down the carpeted stone stairs slowly and silently, looking at her hand as it travelled down the polished mahogany banister. She could hear low voices at the end of the hall where the the only light was on. She paused at the bottom step, the black suited men and the Orphanage manager in view and took a deep breath,

"This is where my new life begins"

And she confidently walked towards them.

"Hello Amy, you ready to go?" The Orphanage manager asked her, if she knew they could speak English all along she wouldn't have bothered much with French.

"As ready as I'll ever be" she smiled.

"Good luck to you both" she said as Percy came up behind Amy.

"Come on you two, we have a long drive ahead of us" One of the black suited men opened the front door," if you could get in the back please"

Percy got in first and shuffled to the other side, Amy hesitated and looked up at the Orphanage and couldn't help but let slip a tear before getting in herself.

The hotel was booked in Bordeaux, where they would also be getting their plane, as a worker told them the day before, and it was about a three hour drive to it.

"Do you have a jumper Miss" the man in the passenger side asked her.

"No, I can always get one before we fly though"

"No time, you'll be flying today"

"But I though you needed—"

"If you're going on a public plane, we however are going on a private plane"

Amy was a bit uneasy with the change of plan but tried to comfort herself in that they were just a wealthy family and started to day dream. She would probably get to go to a really good private school. Term in England didn't start until September, so she had ages yet to worry about that as it was only the 14th of August.

Percy looked out the window in awe as they started passing through several security gates towards the coolest looking plane in the world. It was black and striped with electric blue, almost looking futuristic.

"Amy have you seen this plane?!" He tapped her on the shoulder

"Woah, they must be super rich to afford something like that!"

The car was parked to the side of a small building and Amy and Percy were asked to wait while the black suited men went inside to get something.

"This all seems too good to be true" Amy looked at Percy in worry.

"Don't worry about it Amy, I'm sure it will be fine and anyway you know I'll protect you" he gave Amy a quick hug.

The men came back and gestured for the two to follow them into the plane, where just as they expected was really fancy. Low reclining chairs, TVs and a food bar area.

"Make yourself comfortable" They both sat down in one of the reclining chairs and looked at each other grinning.

Both had obviously never flown before, not a time they could remember anyway. As the plane took to the runway Percy and Amy gripped each other's hands, not daring to look out the window and see the ground getting further and further away. Eventually Amy had to peek. They were so far yet still climbing.

When the plane levelled out Amy relaxed a bit, letting go of Percy's hand. A woman with short brown hair cut to shoulder length and dressed in a blue shirt and navy skirt, walked over to them and sat in the chair facing them. She gave them each some sweets, before opening her clipboard, all in silence.

"Percy and Amy, your last names are unknown to you?"

"Yes" they both answered sort of at the same time and looked at each other.

"Now everything may come as a shock so just keep an open mind" they both nodded and she got back to her explanation," Now you aren't going to specific house in England, you are going to a school... a school for magical beings"

Amy gasped,"a real school of magic!?"

"Yes, the pupils that attend this school consist of three races, Elf, fairy  and Spirit, you are a Spirits the most common to attend"

"Pinch me Amy I think I'm dreaming" Percy whispered and she did rather hard too, so Percy gave her a foul look.

"Now, there are different types spirits, many different types... I'm a fire spirit" she swished her hand around and fire appeared in it, the twins starring in awe, "I can control fire and also perform simple magic if I have this around my neck" she produce a small, sparkling blue, crystal pebble, with a pattern of swirls carved onto it.

"This is a magi rock, but you don't get to use them until fifth year... ok when you arrive there won't be many students as most don't arrive until tomorrow when you will be put into houses, Rivinell, Duncor, Salvier and Montanya" she smiled at them kindly as they both took it all in, "you can eat the sweets"

The woman disappeared behind a curtain at the front and the twins were left on their own again.

"Our parents must have been Spirits too" Amy said

"Wow, I just can't believe it, we are going to a special school of magicness"

"Percy, stop with the made up words"

"Sorry" he laughed

"You know, I think I can already guess what Spirits we are" Amy pulled out her necklace, " with the shell and breathing under water... I guess we are water spirits"

"Right I'm gonna see if this bar has any breakfast before I go digging into sweets" Percy got up, a bit wobbly at first.

"Good idea"
