MICHAEL CLIFFORD ONE-SHOT
“MICHAEL!” I called him out while I lie down on this huge, puffy bed. I’m in Michael’s house today and all I ever did was cough and cough for a good two-hour rest until my lungs puff out. My eyes are so weary now, and it’s totally obvious. And I feel like I’ve already lost my bones and muscles.
“MIKEY!” I tried to shout again, coughing lightly. I continued to sniff and wipe my face with a wet towel which was soaked in cold water. I was about to shout for the third time when Michael came back, holding a glass ofwater.
“Okay, okay- I’m already here. Sorry about that.” He spoke, sitting beside me. He placed the glass at the side of the bed where a small table is. And he just looked at me...yeah, like maybe stare. I don’t know how to describe it but he was looking at me in a different way.
I snapped my fingers in front of his face to wake him up for he was focusing too much. “Michael! Hey, what’s wrong?”
“Oh, uh nothing. It’s just...” He started off.
“What?” I asked, raising my eyebrows as I pulled in the blanket.
“You’re just...” He said scratching his nape.
“I’m what?” I said, completely confused. “Ugh. Just put socks on my feet. I’m feeling cold underneath.” I demanded as I wiggled both my feet and smiled cheekily at him. He just rolled his eyes and went to the drawer to get some white socks.
“I don’t like white socks, Mikey.” I complained. “I want the black one so it won’t be immediately filthy...please.”
“What? But-”
“Please, please.” He looked at the socks first then to me, before putting the white socks back and replacing it with a black one.
“Now, how’s this?” He asked, lifting his hand while holding the black socks.
“Thank you, Grumpy.” I said. He then walked towards the bed, to me. Michael sat at the end of the bed to put the socks on.
“Your feet look like dinosaur’s hands.” He said before laughing out loud as he placed the socks on.
“Ha ha. Funny.” I said sarcastically, arms crossed. “Just put it on, please.”
“Okay, done.” He said, now, sitting beside me. “Take this medicine.”
“With water?” I asked, shooting back a confused look.
“Yeah. With Water and not with poison, Leigh. Just take this in.”
“Juice. I want juice. You know that.” I whined looking away. “I’m not taking that.”
“Quit being stiff. If you drink juice, you’ll be unable to eat the soup I made you- Oh THE SOUP!” He shouted before placing the water back to the table, as well as the medicine.
“You cooked soup for me?” So basically, he cooked something and forgot he’s cooking it. How adorable.
“Yeah. I tried.” I laughed so loud, while I saw him, running out of the room, going downstairs.
“Go get your medicine and please, lose the attitude!” He shouted, whilst I laugh.
“Okay, okay!”
I continued to laugh after I took in the medicine he gave me a while ago. Suddenly, I decided to play the music on my phone while waiting for him. I closed my eyes after I sucked my earphones to my ear and played the music.
