Miyah Rénee Jaxon P.O.V

"Miyah!!!!!!!!" Screamed my best friend, Taeli from the bedroom of her Manhattan Apartment. Startled, I dropped the glass of wine that was resting in my hand, which resulted in it shattering everywhere.

"Shit!" I muttered as I began to clean it up.

"Taeli!" I fumed, angry at her for causing this minor catastrophe. Stopping what I was doing, I stomped to her bedroom, ready to fight.

"Taeli, what the hell is wr-" My thoughts were interrupted by the tiny velvet red box in Taeli's hands. It was an engagment ring box.

I dropped to the floor beside her, in shock myself.

"Its, a r, a ring." She whispered. Her voice shaky.

I smiled, truly happy for her. "Lee! I'm so happy for you babes" I said, quickly embracing her.

She smiled and wrapped her arms around my waist, never letting the ring go. She held onto me for a long time, not saying a word. I, too was speechless. My best friend, was going to get married. Whats even crazier is that she's be marrying one of my other best friends, Connor Phillips. Me, Taeli, Connor and Olivia (our other best friend. Last one, I promise) All went to school together since 10th grade. That's when Connor and Taeli started dating. So they've been together for 7 years now. It's crazy to see how much can happen in 7 years.

One minute, your in the school bathroom picking food outta your braces, and the next your witnessing your best friend discover what could possibly be her engagment ring.

"Shit" she whispered.

Confused, I pulled back from her tight hug to look at her. "What? " I asked worried. She looked at me with true worry I'm her eyes.

"What..what if" she began nervously.

"What if what, Lee??" I asked impatiently.

She looked at me again, causing me to worry as well.

I looked at her with anticipation, desperate to undertand.

Finally, she whispers "What if it's a keychain?"

I immediately fell on my back laughing. I heard her whine in the backround. It didn't stop me though. I was to the point of tears, when she decided I had enough fun and slapped my leg playfully. I regained control of myself and sat up to face her. Her face was unamused. I gave her a humorous grin.

"You should check Mi," she said shoving the box in my hands.

"Lee, I don't think-" "Its better you do it." She interrupted. I looked at her unconvinced. "It is! I can't look! " she whined. "Oh, and why not? " I challenged. She looked at me like I was insane or something. "Mi, if there is an engagment ring in that little red box, I cannot see it!!!! I need to be surprised! And you know I can't act if my life depended on it! C'mon Miyahh!!" She pleaded. She then interlaced her fingers and rested her chin onto her hands, giving a puppy dog face. I scoffed at how childish She was.

Finally giving in, I snatched the box from her and stood up.
"Your insane" I huffed before walking to her kitchen.
"Love you!!!!!" She called. I giggled softly at her sudden change in mood. I rested my elbows onto her granite counter and leaned onto it. Then taking my two thumbs I slowly opened box.
A 5.03 carat cushion cut verragio engagement ring rested peacfully inside.
A wide from spread across my entire face. Even though the ring wasn't mine, for some reason this moment still felt like magic. To witness my two best friends finally tie the knot was everything to me. I gently closed the box and trudged back into Taelis bedroom.

Her face was full of anticipation. Her body was stiff. She was on her knees with her hands in front, acting as a sheild. I giggled at how extra she was.
I knelt down beside her, grabbing her hands. I stared into her eyes, pretending to be stern. Her face wrinkled in concern. Playing along, I saddened my face and reached for a hug. I wrapped my arms around her whole body.

"Miyah Rènee Jaxon, please tell me your joking." She said without emotion. I pulled back from my hug and sighed, looking down.

"Taeli...its" I looked up to her slowly.

Her whole.body slumped over. "It's fine Mi, tell me, I can take it" she said softly.

"I hope so cuz...it's a ring" I whispered happily.

She looked up at me again, this time her hazel eyes were lit up.The sun was shining on her brown hair giving Her a heavenly glow. Her mouth opened into a huge grin. She slowly stood up and plac ed.the ring back into the box i assume she found it. After placing everything back neatly, she turned around and squealed, "I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!" She then ran into her bed and started jumping. "I..AM...GETTING...MARRIED!!!!!!" She said after each jump. I laughed at her reaction. Seeing my best friend this happy, i couldnt help but wonder when my boyfriend would propose...It didnt matter right now though.. I pushed my own selfish thoughts to the side and joined her in celebrating.

"Mi,?" Asked Taeli as we sat on her bed, out of breath.

"Yeah, Lee?"

"Was it nice? "

I grinned. "Your gonna love it."
