I slept late Sunday morning since I didn't have to work. I woke up close to 12. I stumbled downstairs and groggily made a bowl of Frosted Flakes.

"About time you woke up. I thought you would sleep the day away." My mom came and kissed me on my cheek, "What are your plans for today chickadee?"

"Nothing, I guess. I'm not working today, so I was gonna call Piper or Aiden and hang out."

"Sounds fun."

"Where's the rest of the fam?"

"Your farther took the girls to a movie. I think Shadow and Nightmare are out back. I haven't heard them in a while."

I placed my bowl in the sink, "Can I borrow your car mom?"

She looked at me skeptically," I don't know Lace..."

"Please mom! I promise not to crash into anything."

"Well..."

I gave her my best pout.

"Fine, fine. Don't come home to late thou okay?"

"Thanks!"

I raced upstairs to get dressed. I grabbed my favorite pair of blue skinny legs. I paired it with a bright red shirt and my black and white flip flops. Underneath I wore my tie-dye bikini. I put on my usual makeup. Black eyeliner, mascara, and a dap of lip gloss. I grabbed my oversized beach bag and a couple of towels and I-pod.

"Bye mom. Love you."

"Bye, Lacey. Be careful!"

I rolled my eyes at my mom's concern she was so over protective sometimes.

I revved up my mom's truck and turned up the radio. I belted out lyrics as I drove down the block to Aiden's. I honked the horn," Yoo-hoo Aiden!"

I turned off the car and skipped up the steps.

"Aiden!" I banged on door," Come out!"

Aiden opened the door glaring," What the hell is wrong with you?"

'Get dressed were going to the beach."

"No," Aiden said trying to close the door.

"Stop being an emo kid," I teased, "Let's have some fun."

I could see him trying not to smile, "Okay, fine."

I followed behind him. Aiden lived with his single dad since his mom died while in labor.

"Where's your dad?"

"He's working at the factory today."

I took a seat in one of the chairs while Aiden got his gear together.

I looked around the small living room. It had weird odd furniture and old pictures about the room.

"Okay, let's go." Aiden walked out book bag slung over his shoulder and glass on his face.

We hopped back in the car and drove over to Piper's. I knocked on the door. Piper answered her blonde/brown hair in a messy bun.

"Bring yo ass, were going to the beach, bitch!"

Piper looked at me like I lost my mind, "it's not even summer."

"So it's still hottish out. We don't even have to go in the water we can sunbathe."

"You put pale makeup on everyday. You want to sunbathe?"

I pouted, "Come on I got Aiden to come."
