"Charlotte, quit making out with that dummy, your making yourself look like a fool!" tutted my best friend Lizzy as she put her hands on her hips and balanced the weight of the masses of shopping bags she held in the hands. She raised an eyebrow at me making her giant black fringe drop slightly yet she still didn't break her concentration. At school people called her an 'emo' or a 'goth', trust me Lizzy isn't one, she just has a thing for their hair, once you get to know her you'll see she is the most girliest girl you'll meet. Right now she wore a vibrant green dress which cut off just above her knee; underneath she wore white leggings which matched perfectly with her white ballet pumps and headband.
"Oh come on, i'm only having a bit of fun," i groaned, hopping down from the platform the male manicun stood on, modelling the newest designs. In my opinion they were slightly un-usual. Who would wear beige three-quarter greens with a skin tight t-shirt saying "If found, return to the bar" imprinted on it, "why don't you do it?" i jokingly winked at her. She playfully shoved me in the arm, a heavy bag of shoes thumping me in the side at the same time.
"Hey!" i yelled trying to get her back, she dodged at the last minute making a smug expression creep onto her face. Even whilst carrying what seemed a million bags, she was still pretty fast. She was on the school's cross-country run team and easily ran past everyone else when jogging, even the boys that were on the team. The day i could run faster than her is the day that i will stop doing mad stuff in shopping malls.
Which will never happen.
"I'm only having a bit of fun!" Lizzy mocked in my tone of voice before wildly running off, managing to dodge other busy shoppers in the store that we were in. Her short hair bobbed as manouvered her hands so that none of her bags came into contact with people. Men and women walking by turned their heads, giving a weird look into Lizzy's direction before carrying on with their search for new clothes.
Wait a minute, i'm the mad one in this duo, she's not getting all the limelight.
With a small chuckle, i ran off after her also skillfully managing to dodge passers by not caring that my laces on my converse were un-done and i had to try not to slip on them. By now i completely lost sight of Lizzy as she blended into the crowd. Damn i really needed to get into shape. Or pay a muscly guy to carry me, one more good looking than the manicun i was making out with.
Let's just say my first kiss was a total failure.
Boys haven't really been a big part of my life, to me their just girls with an extra part down below. However my sister is a total player when it comes to guys, she has a new one almost every week. It's hard to remember all the new names of the boys that come and go. There's Larry, Gary, Fred, Alex, Ryan, Brian...Larry?
Wait did i already say him?
Oh who cares.
I have a small brain.
I stopped to rest on a small rail of clothes on sale. I can see why there on sale, most of the items were women's blouses completely plastered in flowers with colours that could either make someone puke or blind them. Either way it's not really the best thing to happen. I leant against it taking deep breathes while i realised that i'd almost ran around the entire store trying to catch up with her. Wow.
"You really need to work-out more, ever considered the cross-country team? We won't be too harse on you..."a voice i recognised all too well said from behind me.
"I'm good thanks Lizzy, i'll think i'll pass this one time." i panted, clutching the side of my stomach as stitch came into play. She was right though, i stared down at the small podge on my stomach knowing that i wasn't the only one noticing it. It was looking at me through my t-shirt that said, "Talk to me slowly, i'm blonde".
