Prologue
a year ago the south DR pack was ambushed. Since that day my father has never been the same not because he was the alpha of the pack but because he lost his mate, my mother during the ambush. the whole pack has been wiped out, as far as i know my brother and i and my father are the only survivors of that attack. my father was out that day, and i guess thats why he never forgave himself for my mother's death, he thinks it should have been him that died.

" summer get down" i heard my brother magnus yell out. i didnt hesitate i just drop down to the floor as a silver bullet flew by. Growls were the only sounds that can be heard in the middle of the nigth. 'theres so many of the them' MAgnus wispered throgh the mind link 'there's no doubt about it' sunddenly a loud cream of agony ripped through the house. when i turnrd to look one of my packmates were on the floor. i couldn't tell who it was' but soon the wolf started to change back to human and i could tell that whoever it was was now dead. what i saw in front of me made my whole body shake, my wolf whimper at the sight. on the floor layed haley, my mother. magnus growled and lunged at my mother's attacke ripping the entire left side of the wolf's neck amd spit the blood out on the ground. just when i was about tho attack i heard my father voice come in through the mind link ' its to late summer shes gone and i cant allow you or your brother to get hurt we have to get out of here, find your brother i cant get past his stronghold hes blocking me out.' i ran around the house trying to find magnus but i couldn't find him. i began to get really scared. then i tried the mind link ' magnus, we have to go' i send out frantically 'uhh, um, hold on' he stuttered uneasily. 'whats wrong?' i asked and then i found him. he was standing in front of one of the bloodthirsty pack members. shock was written all over both of their faces." how could this be?" he muttered. "lets go! now!" dad yelled impatiently. the house suddenly went up in flames " we have to get out now!" my father yelled again. we made it out just in time before th ehouse exploded.
