Lilleigh Knightly sat under the shade of the big tree on the edge of the park watching couples walk hand in hand. Her thoughts wondering as it always seem to, to how long have they been together, and what will be the factor that tears them apart. Lilleigh did not dream of the happily ever after, she knew that there were none to be had. Other girls in her pack day dreamed about who their mate will one day be, but Lilleigh laughed at them, she did not want a mate.
Lilleigh, was not raised by her parents, they were killed in a car accident when she was only six months old, her fathers bata took over raising her. Lennox Black, was a hard man, he had no love for anyone. He lost his mate and son after only getting two years with them, this left him hard and very bitter. Lennox raised Lilleigh to be just as bitter about love and mates. Lilleigh, never knew what loved felt like, Lennox only gave quick harsh responses. Lilleigh has only had a school girl crush on her long time friend Hollen Declan, her packs lead warrior son. Although she has had a crush she has never lied to herself that she loved him and that he loved her. She has never wanted or dreamed that she would one day get a mate that would become her everything.
Lilleigh, knew that were going to be changes in the near future, after all she was training to become the alpha of her pack. She was born the only child to Alpha Stone Knightly. If she only knew what all the changes were, she would not want them, if she knew how her life would be changing, and who those changes were going to be bring into her life. Lilleigh, has never liked change.
As she sitting there allowing her mind to wonder, Lilleigh smelled an old familiar smell from a few years back. She closed her eyes trying to put a face with the smell. Images began to float across her mind of her days of running around tracing with her best friend Hollen Declan. Her warriors son had left to look for his mate a few years ago, and she had been sad. He was the only true friend that she had. Hollen did not treat her different, or was easy on her during their training practices.
She had always wondered if Lennox had a talk with him, or if he just likes her for who she was and treated her like a friend at all times. Being the daughter of the alpha others treated her differently, then add that she lost her parents to it made thing harder on her.
