Teba's POV
I sigh softly as I stood up, my body aching from the extreme bow practice I had done the day prior. I walked up the snow covered wooden steps, to see the blonde sleeping peacefully under the light of morning. When I had brought Link in from the blistering cold outside my wife, Saki, had rushed over in panic. Link's body was as cold as ice, and he had terrible gashes lining his sides. His eyes were unresponsive to light and his breathing was extremely shallow. He got away alive by the skin of his teeth.
I walked over to the blonde and pulled his blanket up more. His skin was still cold to the touch, yet he was sweaty and clammy. Prolly a cold, I thought as I added more wood to the dimly lit fire. The flames reached up and licked at the new food that was given to it. "Link, when you fought the divine beast Revali controlled... were you afraid?" I looked down at my hands (feathers) and sighed. "Did you ever... have doubts... about what your future would hold? Or were you always focused on the mission to save that ungrateful princess?" My eyes drifted over to the sleeping boy, my body, moving on its own. As I slid over to the blonde and held him in my feathers. "Link.." I closed my eyes, "please, be alright."
When I awoke, Link was still fast asleep, but the sun had set and was already going down. A blanket was over the both of us, and a note from Saki was beside me. I leaned over and picked up the note which read, "heading into the village tonight with our son. We are staying there at the inn because of a sale going on early in the morn. Your food is on the counter. Love, Saki." I smiled as I lifted myself up, causing Link to shift. "Sorry" I whispered softly as I picked him up gently and lay him back down onto the futon. I stood up and heated up the food on the fire. "Link. Link. LINK!" As I yelled his name he jolted awake, sitting upwards in a flurry before bending over with a hand to the stomach "ahg!" He said in pain. "Hey now, be careful, you're still gravely injured from the attack." I said as I placed the plate of food down beside him, he looked at the food before looking around. His eyes widened and he started moving anxiously, "don't worry! The princess is probably on her way over here from Zora's Domain." I stated as I walked over beside him. His golden locks swaying gently in the moon's soft light. It feels as if his eyes could easily pierce through me, and kill me if they wanted to. But instead they are always soft when they land on me.
We sat under the light of the moon overlooking the archery grounds. I looked over at the boy again, and he turned to look at me at the same time. We made eye contact, his eyes meeting mine, I froze at his eyes. My body instinctively began leaning over, my hand going up to his cheek. His eyes widened as I leaned even closer. I was only about an inch away before I heard the ever so familiar yell of a certain red skinned Zora, "LINK!!"
