Stormstar froze. His eyes fixed on the strange orange light ahead of him. They looked a bit like flames. In fact, they were flames!

"Brakenclaw, go and alert the clan that there's a fire coming our way. Looks like an out of control bonfire, stupid twolegs!", the fur at the back of Stormstar's neck bristled at the though of the fire spreading through ThunderClan camp. He couldn't let that happen!

As the brown tabby tom disappeared, Stormstar turned to the rest of the hunting patrol. "Shadowheart, could you stay with Frostwing and keep an eyes on it while Crowpaw, you go and warn Shadowclan, the fire might spread there to".

"What are you going to do?", Crowpaw asked, his amber eyes huge.

Stormstar lashed his tail from side to side,"I'm going to find the source and see if I can stop it. If I don't survive, Wolfheart will look after you".

Before the young apprentice could object the ginger and white leader bounded up to the flickering flames. They stood tall in the greying sky. He hoped that it would rain in time, before the fire destroyed the camp.  Stormstar padded around the flames, trying to find the source. He only heard the sharp cry of a twoleg kit as it ran from the bonfire, holding what looked like, a bag of squishy white squares and some sticks.

Finally, he spotted the source, a large nest of sticks and leaves, all burnt from the ever growing flames. Stormstar looked around for a way to stop it, but only spied a small wooden box next to a small stream. Shrugging, he leaped over some dying flames beside the stream and grabbed the box. Stormstar knew he only had one chance since he was on his last life. Carefully dipping part of the box into the water, he scurried over to the flame and dropped it on. It sizzled a bit before growing once again.

"Fox-dung!", he spat. He unsheathed his claws as an uncomfortable warm feeling hit his pelt. He looked up to see he was in the middle of a circle of fire. Through the burning flames he could just make out two silhouettes of cats.

"Stormstar, can you hear us?", he recognised the soft voice of Frostwing. He realized, the black shape next to her must be Shadowheart.

Storm star's brain started to go misty as the heat swept across him. "Y-yeah", he managed to mutter. Suddenly, he grew limp and lightheaded and eventually....blacked out.

Stormstar blinked open his eyes to find himself in the clouds. Those that he had loved but died, sat with him. He looked down to see the pouring rain, and the flicker flames dying out. Letting out a sigh of relief, the retired ThunderClan leader settled down to share tongues once again with those who he had lost in the past.
