As the bright rays of sunshine fade with the cooling darkness of dusk so does your smile. You try to hide it from others, but I can see it in your eyes. The sadness overwhelms you while anxiety has become your friend. The monsters inside are killing you. You're fighting to survive, slain by thoughts of misery. Is it really worth it when you always end up hurt? People fake their words to manipulate your emotions. And you're crashing down inside like the violent waves of the ocean.
The lights inside of your house shut off and day turns into night. Your face lights up like the radiant moon in the night sky while you stargaze before bed in silence just right outside. The temperature drops then everything comes to life. The crickets begin singing and the mosquitos start to bite. Your joy and warmth have blurred this awfully degrading fight.
