I escaped his grip as fast as I could. The only progress that had been made by my "brilliant" move, was more energy of mine being wasted. He had soon caught ahold of me, and beat me for trying to escape.
I had no energy left in me to run away from what would come next. My vision was getting blurry, and I knew my body couldn't handle anything more.
He looked back down at me, his smirk made me sick. He was about ready to beat me more, when I took as much energy as I had left and ran out the door. I got to the sidewalk, before he caught up to me, and punched my chin.
He picked me up and threw my body back to the ground. He left my sight and the sound of his footsteps faded.Soon, there were more sounds of footsteps as I lie on the ground. They started to run closer.
My vision was getting worse by the minute. I saw a boy who was about my age look down at me. I felt him pick me up and carry me.
To where he was carrying me, I don't care; anywhere is better than here. I cuddled against his warm chest. I gave in to my battle of sleep, because I knew this boy wouldn't hurt me.
