Train Of Dreams
From far far away, 6 year old Mimo hears the distant whistle of the train. Her eyes are fully shut, and suddenly they open widely. She had big brown eyes and a tiny little nose which is almost covered by her fluffy pink cheeks. She gets up and runs towards the window. She presses her ears on the glass of the window and very slowly it starts to vibrate.
'CHOOK-CHOOK, CHOOK-CHOOK, CHOOK-CHOOK', comes the train. Amidst the foggy mist of the night, Mimo sees that the train stops at her door. She jumps up in excitement and she jumps again. She runs to her door and then runs towards the train.
"Welcome little angel! Welcome aboard!", says a man with a thick long beard and big round glasses. He had a big fat tummy and he wore his pants coming till his chest. He held out his hands and Mimo jumped inside the train. Inside she saw all children sitting one behind the other. She found herself a seat.
"Grab on to your seat little angels. We are going to enter paradise", said the fat old man. And then the train started to move with a quick whistle and a slow gush. It started to gain speed gradually and then suddenly Mimo could feel a slow pressure under her feet. She felt herself rising with the train as it gradually lifted upwards in the air. Its direction changed towards the sky.
For some time, Mimo didn’t know what to feel. She was confused with all her sudden feelings, amazement, happiness, excitement and a pinch of fear. When train seemed to be a little stable in the sky around the clouds Mimo slowly got to her feet and started moving towards the end of the bogey. She slowly walked through, with her eyes wide open in wonder. The other kids too, started to follow her. Mimo came to the end, opened the bogey door. After taking the first look of the new bogey her eyes grew wider still in awe and wonder. A little smile slipped from her tiny little lips and her cheeks turned with a pinkish glow. She looked towards the right and she saw a big green field with a small white fence. And one by one soft woolly sheep starts jumping from one side of the fence to the other. Mimo jumps up in happiness because she knew this dream. And then she starts counting 1...2....3....4....5... and walks through the bogey. And there again as she steps on to the next bogey she sees a beautiful unicorn running through the rainbow and tiny fairies flapping their wings throwing pixie dust all over the unicorn and petting on his mane. Mimo's heart rests down and she feels like sitting down but her curiosity drove her till the last bogey. She entered and it was dark. Mimo got scared. She started giving one step back and then one more and as she was about to give one more step back she bumped into the tummy of the train man. "Don't worry my little child, this is the train of dreams. A train of sweet dreams.", said the man and slowly Mimo started seeing little twinkles that gradually started glowing more and more. Soon the bogey was surrounded with millions of beautiful stars and a half moon smiling at her. Mimo's smile came back and she laid down on the floor of the train. Thus she started counting.... 1 little star....2 little star....3 little star....4 little st....5 lit...... and Mimo goes to sleep.
