Chapter 8-Undercover

Kensi's POV

"Hey guys, I think I've found our guy..." I said. On a security camera near to Ella's mums house, I saw footage of a suspicious man threatening Jack Cassidy with a knife. "Nell, run facial recognition on this guy, and Eric, when Nell's done that let Deeks, Ella and the rest know, okay?" "He's Alan Dickinson. Has a previous criminal record, but he changes his name and details often." Nell said. Seconds later we heard Eric calling Deeks. I'm worried about Ella though, she's gonna be bursting with anger at this guy.

Deeks' POV

"Eric? Oh, okay, good! Really? Ok, we'll get down there ASAP. Have you told Hetty? Ok, we'll be there soon. See ya." I said. I noticed the hopeful look on Ella's face, but she wouldn't like the news I was going to tell her."Deeks? Any news?" She asked hopefully. "Yeah! They think they've got our guy. His name is Alan Dickinson, and we're going to be going undercover on his street to try and get information on him." I saw the terror flash across her face. "Oh god. Auntie Hetty warned me about him, but I thought I'd be safe in LA, but he wanted revenge..Deeks, I can't go undercover, I'm scared.." Wait..Auntie Hetty? I didn't wanna question her, so I pulled her into a hug. "Don't worry, Ells, he's not gonna get anywhere near you! You can change the way you dress and coat yourself in makeup so he won't recognise you, and anyway, we're gonna be husband and wife, so you're gonna have this shaggy haired muscleman protecting you" I said, making her smile. I couldn't let her know my feelings for her at that time, even though I felt the urge to lean in and kiss her. "Thank you Deeks, how is it that you can always make me smile?" She said. "C'mon, lets get going! We'll take my car." I said as we walked out of the hotel. We left the building, got into the car and I sparked up a conversation about the newest Disney film she told me she loved, Frozen. "What's your favourite song from Frozen?" I asked her. "Let it go, obviously! I love it!" she answered, whilst I was putting the song on on my phone. We both started singing to the chorus, and for the first time in a while, I saw her smile properly. She was really happy, and this made me happy too. As we parked up in our British borrowed Ops centre, I noticed that Ella was worried. "Hey, you'll be fine!" I said, reassuring her. She smiled, and we walked into Ops to meet the rest of the team.

Ella's POV

As soon as I heard Deeks say Alan Dickinson, I knew I was in big trouble. Alan had been out to get me, ever since I arrested his mother and father for mass murders a few years back. He tried to kidnap me, but my team stopped him. They locked him up, but his sentence must have ended. I really wasn't looking forward to going undercover, and all I could think about was Jack, but I had to pull through for my team. Deeks would protect me, he'd never let anyone hurt me. I think he'd rather himself get hurt than me, which is so sweet! As we walked into Ops, I was greeted by a hug from Callen. He was seriously like a big brother to me, he's amazing! He was concerned about me, as was Sam. Kensi hugged me tightly after Callen, and she was always there to comfort me, especially after the death of Jack. "Ella, get ready to go undercover with Mr Deeks, you'll move in to your new temporary house tonight." Hetty declared. I nodded, along with Deeks. "Your bags are already there, you just need to unpack. Act like a real newly married couple, and be social with your neighbours. Here are your rings" Hetty informed us, handing us two matching wedding rings. "It's so pretty!" I said, pretending to act happy about our mission. "I picked it, I'm glad you like it!" Deeks said to me. I didn't know he could pick the perfect ring! We said our goodbyes, placed our earwigs in our ears and headed to our new apartment after a makeover. When we entered it, I was surprised at how amazing it looked. We started unpacking, when Deeks approached me. "Ella, I need to tell you something..I think I..well, I like you a lot, and I think your really pretty, and sweet, and amazing, and perfect, and you make me smile whenever I think about you, and-" I cut him off, looked into his gorgeous baby blue eyes and kissed him.
