CHAPTER ONE

*** Paige's p.o.v ***

"Why does it have to be like this!" Jacqueline Morris whined,"Why does school have to re-open so soon! The vacation just felt like only 24 hours!"
"Quit whining. You should be happy, though you're right." I said.

"You feel fine about this?"Jac asked me.

"I know it feels like minutes or hours but we need to get knowledge."

"Since when did you like school?"

"Since 1648."

Jac giggled and said with air quotes, "And I was born tomorrow."

I'm Paige Anderson and I'm a student of Spring Falls high. I have long raven hair and pale blue eyes. I usually wear black dresses with hoodies and dark blue jeans. And I'm quiet. Jac is the only person I usually talk to. She's like my bestie. She's also one to talk. And she's funny. And really sociable. I'm not that sociable. People call me a wierdo, too. Don't think I'm a Gothic person though it's like I act like one. Never mind. But there's one specialty about me. Don't think I'm crazy but I've got some special abilities. These abilities are called 'visions' ( It would be explained later )

I live with my father. My mom died three years ago and it was very depressing. Living without mom was so...... I can't even explain. I loved her so much and she loved me. What ever did she do to die! From that day, I hadn't been sociable and happy and now I keep this expressionless face.

Jac and I studied for a while then we watched some movies.

" I can't wait for school to re-open!" Jac squealed in excitement.

"Aren't you the one who just complained about going to school?"

"Forget 'bout it! Wonder which pair of people are going to be the couples of the week." Jac said.

This was like some kind of culture to our class. We pair up two people who kind of love each other. They'll be the couple for the week. The next week we change them. Through the week, you'll be dared to spend sometime with the person you've been with. This was produced by you-know-who....cupid!

The pair would have some lovey time. They'll be going out and more till the week ends. If you refuse to the 'couples day out',you'll get the 'forever tease'.
Silly, right?

For teens like us acting like children. The 'forever tease'.
You wouldn't like it. This type of mockery is like being trapped in a nightmare. The 'forever tease' was brought to you by, Travis Burns. He's the master of mockery. Cody got the 'forever tease' for refusing the 'couples day out' and because of that he left the school. That's why it's a good punishment.

Because of this, no one really wants to fall in love except some people who people who find it nice. There are some bad stuff of the 'couples day out' which people refuse to do.

Some of you will know what I mean.

Some people are able to do the you-know-what and score some points to became the 'forever couples' which have some advantages.
So that's the 'couples day out' for ya.

Back to story.....

"That stupid game! Don't even go there, sister." I said.

"Bet you'd be paired with someone this time. Can't wait." Jac said.

"That's never going to happen." I said.

"'Kay, we shall see." Jac said with an evil grin.

I left Jac's house and headed to mine.
As I walked, I bumped into someone then I was about to fall but the person held my hand stopping me from falling.
I suddenly felt wierd. I closed my eyes.
Then some pictures began appearing in my mind.

An island...so many disasters....screams....some teenagers.....a different world....a girl....

My head ached.
What was happening to me!
I opened my eyes and saw the person I bumped into.

It was a guy who looked my age. Honestly, he looked cute. What's happening to me! I'm not the type who falls in love.
The guy had brown hair which was cut nicely and he had hazel eyes. I've never seen him before. It could be that he moved into town or something else, I reckon.

I still felt wierd.

"I-i'm sorry." The guy apologized.

"No, that's my line. It's my fault."

We both departed we still stared at each other.
I still got the wierd feeling.
And why?
My eyes twinkled.

I was in my room thinking of what happened. That wierd feeling.
And the vision. I saw an island which was going bad then another picture appeared. That's when I saw teenagers. I didn't really see their faces and they were screaming. Then a different world appeared and I saw lots of beautiful stars and a different place full of odd plants and supernatural beings. Then I saw a girl. A little girl. But I couldn't see her face clearly.

Wierd, right?

This is quite a mystery.
Does this have to do with my visions?
Yeah, my visions.
Those are my abilities. The visions I have now are thirteen. They help me a lot. But I'm still learning to master some.
I mostly use the x-ray vision and telescopic vision. There are more visions. More than thirteen.

I think I'm the only one who has this ability. Not even any of my parents. But I wonder how I got it. I'm still suspecting my mother though she's dead. She must've known something about this.

I took a magazine and began reading. I stopped and thought of what happened again. The time that guy held my and, I felt wierd and I got those visions. But how? There's something suspicious 'bout this guy that I need to find out.

Maybe I could do a little spying. But how am I going to find him again. It could take years or decades!
I don't want a mystery to stay a mystery forever. So spy mission it is. Well, maybe my visions can help. I wish I had the radar vision. It was another vision but I didn't have it. Too bad. It could have come in handy.

I need to act fast cuz school's gonna open next week. Today's Tuesday. And I've got a lot of things to do.
Hope I get time. Time and tide wait for no man.
