Moonstar opened her eyes to darkness. As she
began to get up, Moonstar heard a loud yowl.
" I- Is anyone awake?" Moonstar found herself
asking.
"Moonstar" A small voice called. The cat jumped.
"Beware" It continued. Moonstar turned to see a
starry cat. " Beware the mark" The cat murmured .
But Moonstar was too distracted to hear.
"Silverpaw!" Moonstar yelled" I'm so sorry!"
"Beware the mark..." Silverpaw muttered, then faded away.
" What mark?!" Moonstar shouted. But all
the leader heard was a yelp. Moonstar turned
to see a big cat towering over a wimpy one.
Then, in a flash of claws and blood. The
smaller cat was dead.
" Who are you? Who did you-"
Moonstar gasped. The cat had a strange mark
on her front paw. "You..." the cat approached
Moonstar. And she looked up in shock, as the
cat killed Moonstar.
