Its my first day of school, and I'm rushing to get ready. My luck, my alarm clock did not go off! If I'm gonna have my reputation like last year, "On time Kali" I need to be at school, like now! If I run down the stairs I might be able to make it. I fall down the last step of the stairs, I could hear a crack. This cant be happening right now. "Mom!" I scream. "What honey?" she say back. I take a deep breath, "I think I broke something."
Im a school now, but one thing is wrong. I have crutches and a foot cast. People all around me ask, "what happened?" "Did it hurt?" "Are you faking to get attention?" But a whole crowd of other people are crowding around someone else. I wobble over and I see a girl that i have never seen before. She is so pretty! She keeps smiling and answering everyones questions with full statements. How is she not shy, and why is she not trembling with fear of all the new people around her? She looks at me. "Hi! I'm Anne, hope the foot gets better." She almost sounded snarky. Like she was joking or something. Something is not right here. Something is up with her.
