"Ruby, baby are you in there", I ask knocking on the door.
It slowly opens and the white light is on and the sound of running water is rushing out loudly out of somewhere. Reaching out with my left hand, I slowly push the door open and wheel my way in. My wheels skid a little and I look down on the brown tiled floor and see water boot footprints leading to the shower. The crystal door is foggy indicating that warm water is on. Even though the glass is foggy I can see a figure sitting down on the white floor on the inside of the shower. The door opens and inside is my Ruby soaking wet still in her combat skirt, cape, and top.
"Ruby what are you doing in there fully clothed? God I was worried you were going to do something to yourself", I say with a relieved look on my face.
I study Ruby's face as she looks at my direction with the running water blasting heavily on her red and black hair. Her silver eyes are puffy as wool and the whites of her eyes are as red as her cloak from crying.
"Turn it off please let's talk", I smile a little looking at her then I grab her favorite blue cookie monster tower and hand it to her.
She nods reaching above her turning off the shower with silver knobs, Then she takes the towel and rubs all the heavy moisture from her hair and then wraps it around herself.
"Sit on my lap", I motion with my right hand and like a little puppy she comes and sits on my lap and faces me.
"Tell me what's wrong, and please let all your pain out. Don't bottle it up", I look at her seriously.
She sighs heavily and I can tell that she has a weight on her shoulder a big one.
"Weiss........this is the 2nd time i have seen my sister in critical condition. What if she doesn't make it? Will I lose my only family here at Beacon? Sure I have my dad but it's not the same without Yang. She was there when.....sigh when my mom was gone, but now I hate to see her not be here at all."
I close my eyes taking the pain that Ruby is feeling and then I let out a deep sigh.
"Ruby, you will never be alone. Why? Cuz when Yang is not here you have me and you have Blake, we're your family too. I promise you that Yang will get better and I also promise you that I will never leave your side", I then rest my head up against Ruby's small back.
I could feel the extreme tenseness in her shoulders plop down slowly and lightly like bird feathers.
"Weiss.......I.......thank you.......I love you so much. I promise too that you will not go back to your old lonely cold self again. I will always be with you too. I swear on that rose necklace I gave you on our very first date".
My cheeks flush red madly and I nod in response speechless.
"Cmon you dolt, change into some dry clothes and hop back into our room", I smile releasing her from my lap.
"Oh right", Ruby hops up then spins me around wheeling me out the door and quickly closing it from behind.
"Well is she doing alright", Blake asks looking up from her book.
"She will be. Promise me you'll be here for her like me."
"My ears heard the conversation Weiss. I promise also", Blake smiles serenely.
I nod returning the smile then I quickly wheel to my bed. Then the bathroom door slowly opens.
