"I feel like this is gonna be some basic Halloween shit."
Jiben said as the group approached the large building.
The concrete structure was adorned by an orange neon sign reading ; 100 floors of fear.
It looked like a random hotel but it wasn't like they had Halloween parties to attend in the first place.
"You're not even wearing a costume!" Gris snapped from under her giant rabbit mask.

"Well you're a giant rabbit!"

"You asshole I'm frank from Donnie Darko!"

"Hey!" Iman said sharply, instilling silence within her two friends
Jiben looked at her in disdain.

The teenagers entered the lobby which was decorated cheaply with dollar store spiderwebs with glittery styrofoam spiders hanging from them. Other than that the building looked abandoned.
Iman approached the front desk and cautiously pressed the bell.
A camera flash startled the kids.
"This is how they get you." Jiben growled, whipping his head around the room for the source of the flash.
Evie, who was dressed as lady Loki, had been examining a glittery spider.
"Shiiiiny" She said as the black glitter covered her fingertips.

"I guess we're getting in for free."
Griselda said, walking to A tarnished golden colored elevator and pressing the up button.
It glowed an eerie yellow and made a strange clattering sound.

"Yikes."

The doors opened to reveal a man in a red bellman uniform sitting on a stool in the corner of the small enclosure.

" Good evening, I am mark , your hellevator operator

." Good evening, I am mark , your hellevator operator. Now please hold on as this ride goes bump in the night."
The man said pursing his lips into a weird smile. Jiben was about to say something until Iman slapped him.
The group shuffled into the elevator.

"first floor."
The man pushed a button and the machine tumbled into action.

"I thought we were just on the first floor...?" Evie asked.

"Oh, well we are no longer in that building." The man said, earning suspicious glances.
A clap of thunder and flashing lights resounded in the small space and mark chuckled darkly.
The doors opened to a foggy room lit with a purple hue. Griselda moved to exit.
