Chapter 2 - "Immortal Soul Consolidation Technique"

After realizing that he has been reincarnated, Jian Chen searched through the boy's memories and found all the details about his past and came to the conclusion that he the greatest overlord is now in some mundane realm, probably one of the weakest realms under heaven.

"Seems like this child died a miserable death. Although i should be congratulating this Jian Zu for doing the deed so that I could reincarnate.But since this body is now under my control it's my one favor and kill all his enemies" Death is what they deserve who dare to cross his path.

"There is still one problem i need to deal with, my soul is incomplete and my will is distorted... I need to consolidate my soul completely with this body and they grow it again to the peak!"

Jian Chen was feeling a little out of order since his death was not a natural one... Heavenly Emperor had killed Jian Chen in both body and soul but fortunately a strand of his will protected a part of his soul and descended to this plane to continue survival.

Under normal circumstances the revival of soul is just a question of time but this time Jian Chen is facing a dire situation... Heavenly Emperor not only has hacked his soul into a thousand pieces but he also has infused some of his immortal sense into Jian Chen's soul to make it a sure kill which makes it almost impossible to revive them.

Any bodily injury was nothing but snap of a finger for Jian Chen even if it was by Heavenly Emperor but damage to one's soul and that to this extent was almost impossible to find a cure...

"Under heaven there exists only one method which can help me regrow my soul and integrate it to this body completely... 'Immortal Soul Consolidation Technique'. I found this technique in an Ancient Ruins but i only know some of its functions, it can help me in merging my soul to the boy's soul. This child is already dead but for some reason his soul is laying dormant deep within his qi stream. I can use his soul to integrate it with mine and nourish it with time, but the only problem is this Immortal Sense left by Heavenly Emperor. Actually it's a blessing in disguise... if i am able to absorb some of his sense into this body i could build an almost indestructible body... Hehehe Tian Huang you are really naive to think that you could hinder me in any way..."

Jian Chen tried circulating his qi in his dantian but discovered a rather acute poison.

"Hmm? This poison caused this boy's death and now its trying to obstruct me? Hmph laughable to think that this poison is being my nemesis right now. Although i have to admit, this is rather efficiently done. I suppose this Elder Zu is not the real master of this poison?"

Apart from being the a martial and a war maniac in his past life, Jian Chen was also a personified poison master and was thoroughly versed in the way of poison and it goes without saying that high level poison masters were god of alchemists since creating poisons after analyzing all ingredients needs high level skills... this little poison miasma is of no obstruction to a person of his level.

"The poison can block life and death vein which makes it impossible to circulate any qi and at the same time diminishes the victim's life essence, ingenious indeed. Heh unfortunately I am going to be their worst nightmare"

Jian Chen said with a sneer

"I guess the only way to do it is first cultivate the way of immortals, 'immortal soul consolidation technique' which is precisely what i need to nourish my soul and at the same time to absorb this immortal sense... its like killing two birds with a stone heh."

While his body was paralyzed Jian Chen started cultivating the way of immortals to make his stranded soul stable and stronger...

Three months later...

"Huuuuu"

"Almost 20% of my soul is healed, and i am able to extend my own senses to the outside world"

"Wait a minute... what's happening? The poison is getting cured as I cultivate immortals way??!"

"No that can't be possible.It's caused by the Immortal Soul Consolidation Technique!! Amazing!!" 

If anyone was near Jian Chen right now would be stupefied to see the amazing scene... Although Jian Chen was once the was a person of great persona and a highbrow when it came to martial techniques and the divine ways but this 'Immortal Soul Consolidation Technique' was something he found in an Ancient Ruins. The immortals way was a meditation term but when Jian Chen infused this technique with the way of immortals it was showing a pure cleansing aura of some sort...

"Great, now i can start cultivating this body to my will. Boy even though you are dead but your body now has the chance to reach the highest heavens."

Word was in the air that the third son of Jian clan patriarch was planning on going to the desolate mountains alone for martial enlightenment and to reach a breakthrough.

"Hao'er you are young and don't have a lot of experience, do you really want to go?"

"Mother, I don't have the physique of other brothers nor the talent. This is the only way for me to promote myself and as you know too that sixth brother is now suffering and is very weak right now. It is my duty as his brother to take care of him."

Jian Hao was third in line for patriarch's seat. A very strong willed character but what a pity that heavens didn't shower him with their gifts and instead turned him into an average talent. Even though he's third born, his fourth and fifth brothers don't give him the respect he deserve. Jian Chen is probably the only one who treats him as his brother.

" Hao'er, I know you care a lot about Chen'er but you should know that miasma has caused him to become a cripple for the rest of his life. Even he is the youngest of all you brothers but was the most talented... *sigh* but now has been crippled. Heavens are being really cruel to Chen'er"

Mu Rong, Jian Hao's mother is also aunt of Jian Chen and cares a lot about him as she does for her own son.She originally belonged to a second-rate clan but the patriarch was entranced by her and later they got married. Even though she was one of the patriarch's wives but she wasn't treated the same.

 'Mother, you may not know what really has happened but I do, and the moment I get to the depth to it, I'll expose that bastard to father... Jian Yuo!!'

Jian Hao thought to himself. He was furious. When Jian Chen was attacked by the formation he wasn't far from him but he did see a golden blue robe wearing youth, long hair with a dignified face standing far in distance and that was none other than Jian Yuo...

(I was thinking of introducing all the heirs of our protagonist's clan but i thought i'd search for some meaningful names before :p)
