My Next Door Neighbor

prologue

Looking at the mirror for almost an hour, Chera is occupied with the thoughts of what to wear on the evening dinner with her family. Her smooth, pinkish-white glowing skin is covered with a face-beauty mask. Her hair is wrapped in a towel and she  is still in her robe. She step in front of the door of her closet. The metal-glass lining of the door showed vivid reflections of her violet cotton robe as she pull the sliding door towards left and her green almond eyes widened as it explored around her luxurius, and stylish dresses as she stepped in.

"Ahm the green silk mini-dress looks sexier." She gasps.

She picked out the green-silk mini dress and place it in front of her barbie-doll figure like dressing paperdoll then turned a few steps in front of the very huge mirror. She smiled with a relief, "Way better."

As she went out excitingly dropping the dress on her bed, she removed her face mask revealing more radiant and glowing face. Admiring her own look, she is interrupted with a bossy knocks on her door. It was her brother Jade.

"Hey, don't you dare to come down? You've been locked there for a year, and still not done?" Jade irritatingly asked. Jade is 3 years younger than his sister Chera. Unlike Chera, Jade is silent, mysterious, and always annoyed with her sister's loud personality. But he loves her sister so much and he always wanted to protect her. Though, he doesn't show it that much.

"Shut up! I'll be there for a second. Hold up." As she push her brother outside her room and close the door carelessly.

Chera rushed on her bed as she grabbed her dress and put it on. Finally after 20 minutes in front of her mirror, she finally set herself ready for the dinner.

"Oh! This is Chera. Don't dare to fall in love with me." Talking to herself and blowing a kiss before going out of what she called her little palace where soon her knight in shining armor will be there to be her king.

"Hey! get down we're all hungry!" Jade shouted being impatient waiting her sister to come out of her room.

"Oh. What are you looking at?!" As she opened the door surprisingly.

"You waited me after I push you out?" Looking at her brother's mad face.

Jade just give him a bad look and then went down. Chera just followed and tap her brother's head as a punish for ignoring her question..

They found their mother waiting on the table. 

"Why you dress so much for this dinner? You took so long. Ugh. Don't you knowhow hungry your brother and I? So insensitive!" Her mother starts to act bossy again. She's always like that since their parents got divorced. Chera just smiled and stare at her mother with a teasing laugh.

"I'm too gorgeous to be like you mother."
