Chapter 10: Running Away

Thalia's POV

"Dad, I said I'm sorry and I didn't have $$$ last night!"

Yup. Dad knew everything that happened last night. Well not "everything" though, he didn't knew that I had 'it' with Brian. Because of that stupid Simon that told daddy everything that happened last night, I was not allowed to go to parties anymore.

"You embarrassed me infront of Simon, Lia. I dont want that to happen again. Last night was the last party you will go with your friends." Dad took a sip of his wine while lecturing me. We were in his room. Dad when angry does not go wild and stuffs, he just stay calm and say to these "fatherly" words to me.

"That's so unfair! Daddy you cant do this to me. I have my own life and freedom you cant just lock me away from my friends!" That's right. I couldn't just let dad decide things for me anymore.

"Lia I'am not locking you away from your friends. I'm just not allowing you anymore to go to parties with them anymore. They're too... wild." Dad stood up and went near me. I clench my fist together and pressed my lip into a thin line.

"You just cant decide things for me anymore." Bam. I said it. "I'm turning 18 this December dad. I am a grown up already. Stop treating me like a 14 yr old, god damn it." After I pushed dad away, he burst out. I guess he hadn't expect me to say those words.

"You're mouth Lia! Those words are unforgivable! Dont you ever swear infront of your parent!" I trembled when dads voice got louder. That was the first time I saw daddy being so scary.

"Well I'm sorry but I couldn't help it! I'm sick of you bossing me around! Specially now that i'm old enough to handle myself."

"Lia! What you did last night was very nasty! Being drunk and getting wasted!? That's what you mean by you can handle yourself? You passed out God knows what would happen to you!"

"Dad I was just enjoying!" I screamed already. I couldn't help it but got angry.

"Enjoying! God, Lia! Do you know how that word can lead to some wrong doings!?"

"So what!? Atleast I'm alive! See? I'm in one piece dad! Allow me to have fun for once in awhile." Okay. I swear, this is the first argument I had with dad.

"What do you know about fun!? You are being treated well Lia! All my riches are given to you! Isn't that fun enough?"

"I dont need your richness dad. I dont need all this." I started crying.

"I just dont understand you Lia. No one will ever understand you." Dad shook his head in disapprovement.

"I bet if Mom's here she would be the only one to understand me." Those words came out of my mouth causing dad to stiff. I've had enough with the drama. I went out of the room and got some stuffs and clothes in my room closet and head to my car.

I ran away.

"I cant believe you ran away..." Avril hugged me tight, but was enough for me to breath. After me and my dads argument, I head straight to Avrils house. She and I made up already from last nights incident.

"Can I stay here for awhile?" I took her hand and wrapped it around my fingers. "Please?"

"Of course Thalie, you're my bestfriend." She gave me a sweet smile and we went straight to the guests room. "Here, you'll stay here."

"Thankyou, Av." I went inside. The room wasn't that big. But also wasn't that small. It had a bed on the right side and a big closet. Also a table with a lamp and plus the wall was brown.

"It's nothing Lia. I'm glad that you'll stay here.We can talk and hang out even more." She giggled and pushed me with her on the bed. It was bouncy so I enjoyed it.

"Hey Lia,?" Avril spoke all of a sudden.

"Yeah?" I looked at her with a grin on my face.

"Do you like Chad?" Avril faced me and I was surprised by her shocking question. "I just wanted to know what my bestfriend feels about Chad since you really seem to have interest in him." I can see a frown in Avrils face. She looked down and played with her fingers while waiting for me to answer.

"To be true with you Av," I started to speak out after a minute of silence. "I dont like him. I mean, yeah I like him but I only see him as my friend and nothing else. Okay?" I lied to her. I wanted to tell her what I really feel about Chad but I just cant. I didn't want to share Chad with her. I'm a selfish brat when it comes to love. But Avril is my bestfriend. I can see it in her eyes that she truly loves Chad. And Chad on the other hand, doesn't even give a damn about me. Yeah it hurts. I can see clearly that both of them can be a prefect match.

"That's a relief! Gosh Lia I really thought you liked him!" Avrils frown was replaced by a huge grin. "I just thought you really liked him! But yay! You dont. So that means you'll support me with him right?" I can see excitement in Avrils eyes. I let out a giggle. "You seem to be so excited over something Avril, and whatever that is, of course I'll support you."

Avril leaped towards me causing me to lay down on the bed. She was so happy so I was happy too. She hugged me real tight then my heart ached alittle when the next words from her mouth went out.

"Tomorrow, I'm gonna ask him out." Avril gave me a shy smile and I could see her blush.

I gather some courage to say the next words that I was going to tell her, "then as your bestfriend, I'm gonna make sure he'll never say no to you." Both of us gave a hug and she told me to get ready for dinner.

The rest of the night, me and Avril chatted anything random.

It was already awhile since I've chatted Avril. Avril actually, I met her on the internet. She loves One Direction and so did I. She wasnt from Seattle at first then she knew I was moving here so she wanted to surprise me by living here too. Sweet of her right?

Back to reality, about tomorrow in school. Man, Brian..... I still need to talk to him about things. I still wanted us to act normal around each other despite what happened between us.

Tomorrow is going to be one hell of a day.
