i'd been twisting and turning all night and im afraid I've actually become hopeless at something. sleeping. My eyes betrayed me for the final time as i was forced to face my one and only best friend, in other words my other half, the cheese to my fries, the parachute to my skydive and the girl thats just like me but isnt.
"Hey there Selene, hows your morning been?" If you could see what I've had the horror of seeing you'd understand that i was clearly being sarcastic. Her black hair was like a birds nest, her blue and white cheerleaders outfit covered in dirt and her makeup was most definitely a mass murder."HOW AM I DOING? ME? LITTLE OH SO INSIGNIFICANT ME?" She barked as i tried to rub my eyes to change what i was seeing.
"Grey again huh?" i smirked.
Pointing an falsly accusing finger at me shaking it as if she was 2 seconds from blasting like a bomb.
"THAT RAT! He thinks just because his name is the same as my last name it's a plausible reason to constantly make me suffer!"
Let me simplify this for you newbies, Selene Gray and I Cecelia Radford have known eachother since preschool when i defended her from her nemesis Grey Daniels. Ever since the 4th grade hes been teasing her about the one thing they share in common but it wasnt till high school he progressed to some pretty plausible pranks.I strutted around my room getting ready for school not caring about Selenes presence.
"If you wear those shoes Im dumping our friendship" Oh how i loved her judgement.
"If you wear that dirty cheer uniform i wont hesitate to do the same. " my comment was not very appreciated judging from a pillow then being thrown at my face."i was hoping you'd let me wear your old one.."
"Sure you know my wardrobe is just an extension of yours. Mi casa su casa." i quickly reached into my wardrobe and threw the uniform at her swiftly.
selene shook her head laughing. "I dont think you used that right but it could be worse i guess. "
i shrugged. i think i can afford to change a lil bit of language around. " cmon lets go before my mum wakes up. we quickly scattered to Selenes car using soft and sneaky footsteps to escape.
It didnt take us long to get to school since i only live 10 minutes away. selene always asks why i dont just walk instead of wasting her petrol and the answer is always the same. I'm lazy.
"Hey Cece, i didnt want to bring it up but-"
"She's doing a lot better. But being an alcoholic doesnt just disappear." my mum had began drinking after my father passed away when i was only 14 years old from a heart attack while i was at school. It never made sense to me because from my memories he was so healthy. I let it go because when i saw my mums reaction it was like all she knew was hurt.
selene nodded knowing better than to dig further. she knew i didnt like to talk about it even though its been 3 years already since he passed.
"Im gonna sneak arouns back to the change rooms to clean up, i'll see you at break okay?" i nodded.
"Try not to run into Grey" i laughed taunting her. her scoff and sassy eye roll was no good of a cover for her feelings because as her best friend i knew without asking that she enjoyed Greys company somewhat.
Speaking of the devil. A kiss to my cheek woke me from my thoughts. Selena isnt the only one Grey annoys.
"Hey Cel, whats good babe?" Grey smirked and positioned his long arm around my shoulder to encourage me to walk alongside him. I always found it better to just go along with it."Oh hello lover what can i do for you today?" his blue eyes sparkled like a puppy about to go for a walk.
"Now that you mention it, my bio homework, my chem -" i put my hand up to interupt his long list of homework.
