Expectations. These are held by the thin wire of trust. Some are held to certain expectations, and judgement is passed down based on if they are met or not. Siblings look out for one another; however, how far is too far?

Another day at Hard Landing for the D-gang. The sun was glaring down below, the land dried and deprived of life, all things beautiful in their eyes. Normally there would be a sense of activity and hustle going about; however, today was a rather lax day. Not that there wasn't much to be done, it was more or less because nothing could be done. When Duni's siblings showed up at their base a few days back, he made sure they knew nothing of his plans. None of the others really understood his reasoning behind this, but they left him be. If anything, they were just glad to have a break from working for once.

Dilliker was currently dragging away the dead body of a random villager to dispose of somewhere else. Nearby, Duni was sitting propped up against a tree. He had a paper in his paws, and judging the lovey-dovey look on his face it must have been a letter of sorts. Dilliker spotted his brother and seeing the look on his face he cast him a glare. The dark-furred pug caught Dilliker's gaze. "What?" he asked incredulously. The albino cat merely gave him a you-know-what look, his arms crossed. Duni stared at him for a moment, then to the letter. He immediately blushed and looked away.

Having his suspicions confirmed, Dilliker rolled his eyes in annoyance. He walked over to Duni and snatched the letter right out of Duni's paws. "Hey! Give that back!" Duni exclaimed as he tried to reach for the letter, but alas he was too short. Dilliker merely held him down with one paw as he looked over the piece of paper. With a look of disgust he crumpled up the letter and walked away, tossing it behind him.

Duni bent over and picked up the crumpled piece of paper. "What's your problem?" he scoffed. Dilliker paused for a brief moment then turned around to face the dark-furred pug. He cast his brother a look and pointed at him, giving his answer. The two brothers stared at each other, one with a look of annoyance and the other a look of shock and hurt. Duni felt a flare of anger and becoming defensive he spoke up in retaliation. "If you have a problem with me friend, then just say so," Duni sneered. "Oh wait, that's right, you can't speak."

The remark definitely triggered something. With incredible speed Dilliker went over to Duni and lifted him up by his shirt, his red eyes glaring down with a threatening gaze. Duni's eyes narrowed and he gave a smirk. "You wouldn't dare hurt your little brother, would you?" He asked with a sickly sweet tone. Although Duni portrayed an air of nonchalance, he was holding his weapon tucked in his back pocket behind him just in case. It wasn't the first time the two brothers had a tussle.

"What are you two doing?!" A high-pitched feminine voice suddenly rang out. Dilliker dropped Duni, who immediately got up as Datherine approached. The albino cat smacked both of her brothers behind their heads. Dilliker winced slightly as Duni muttered an, "Ow." as he rubbed his head. "I do not need my idiotic brothers killing each other right now." Datherine continued, her tone sharp. The other albino rolled his eyes while the dark-furred pug had a sheepish look on his face. Dilliker turned and began to leave, not without leaving Duni a cold shoulder as he shoved him aside. Completely taken by surprise, Duni fell back.

Datherine watched Dilliker leave, then turned to Duni. Her eyes narrowed and for a brief second there seemed to be a look of pity in her eyes, but that is almost nonexistent as she stared down at him with a slight look of disgust. Without bothering to help him up, she turned and left him saying, "I expect better from you Duni." Then she left without another word.

Now Duni was left to himself once more. He sat there and rubbed his shoulder with a cross, yet troubled look. He couldn't help but feel a stab of disappointment.

This one-shot was an idea I had a while back while coming up with concepts for Datherine and Dilliker, the alternate evil versions of Catherine and Williker. I wanted to explore how Datherine, Dilliker, and Duni would act towards each other as siblings. I have to thank Jon for giving me the idea for this. I asked one time what kind of accent Dilliker would have, since Williker has an Australian accent. He surprised me by saying Dilliker would be mute. After that, I started thinking of scenarios based off of that idea. So, here we are now.
