Yeah so exams are coming up soon, so I'm putting off revising, and wrote some more instead. Call it english revision k. Anyway this chapter isn't too great tbh but read it anyway so you can laugh at my awful writing. K thx bye.
I don't remember going to sleep, but yet I still wake up. And I wake up late too. I scramble to get ready, hoping that everyone had woken up late and not just me. But as I walk out the door of my room, I falter in step as I see Sebastian strutting down towards me. I look down at the ground, trying to look as small as possible, so that maybe he wouldn't notice me. Yet, believe it or not, black hair on pale skin tends to stand out,so yeah, he did notice me.
"Yo, Phil, you're up late," he greeted me, smirking slightly. I shake, knowing what was to happen next. "So I got someone else to take your place on the hunting party, hope you don't mind," he then grinned, showing sharp fangs.
I look up, confused,"W-why would you do that?" I stuttered. Now Sebastian seems confused, as if I had said something crazy.
"Well, you're kinda a star, after ya know, killing Daniel and all," he replied, bewildered as if I could not realise such a thing as that.
"Oh yeah, of course," I mutter to myself. Unsure of what else to say, I add,"Well I'm gonna catch up with the hunting patrol, erm, see you, maybe, I guess, um yeah," I murmur, starting to wander away.
"A noble hero, wow, good job. Have fun!" Sebastian chuckled cheerfully. I frown, but don't say anything, and dash off, following the scent of the hunting party, hoping they won't have gone too far.
I clumsily reach the hunting patrol, who hadn't been too far, and immediately notice their annoyed looks. "Um...sorry I'm late," I mutter quietly, staring at the ground where an ant was crawling over my shoes.
"Yeah that's fine, only next mind where you're going and don't scare away a whole herd of deer," I heard a female voice say. I look up to see it was Jodi. Two people who hate me in the course of 5 minutes. New record!
"Oh yeah, um, sorry about that," I mumble,"I'm sure we could still catch up with them, the herd, deer things, ya know, if we um, run," I add on, unsure of myself.
"Haha, lighten up, I'm sure we'll find more prey later," someone else said. A small girl with fair hair smiled warmly up at me. I didn't recognise her, well the only people I really recognise on sight within my clan were the ones who beat me to a pulp on a regular basis, so I suppose it's only natural I did not know who she was.
"Now come on, let's go, otherwise all the prey will be lost," she twirled around around a dashed off, only quickly looking behind herself to check we were indeed following.
Jodi sent a sharp glare my way, and I had felt the chill from it run through me. I watched her then also running away in the same direction of the other girl.
I shake my head. At least I knew there was at least one friendly person in this whole clan. The thought left me with a slight feeling of ease.
I then dart up to the trees, where I tear away through the leaves and branches. I receive constant scratches from the branches, but they heal quickly, vampire privilege I suppose.
Caught up with the two others, we make formation within the trees, meaning the herd had indeed not gone far and we still had a chance to grab a deer or two after all.
Crouching down in the low branches, is glided through the trees silently, like a cat, until we were all in the triangular formation above the herd of deer. I glance over to Jodi, waiting for her to give the signal. The only sound is the one of leaves being teared from branches as the deer ate.
From the corner of my eye I see Jodi wave a hand, and suddenly we all leap forwards. The deer instantly start charging away. Fangs lengthening, I dart after them, catching up easily. I only see red as a career forwards, and the next thing I know I am rolling on the ground, deer in grasp, and I can already feel the life slip away from it.
Sitting up with the deer, I see Jodi and the blonde girl had caught a deer together. Standing up, I throw the deer over my shoulder. Though it was heavy (very heavy) I was sure I would be able to lug it to the clan.
Jodi takes the other deer, and so we make our way back towards the clan. The blonde briefly congratulated me on killing a deer alone, and added quickly on top that she knew I would though, considering I killed Daniel myself as well. I merely nodded, and carried on walking.
There was then a sudden crash, followed by a yowl of what was undeniably pain. Looking at each other briefly, we dropped the prey, carelessly trying to hide it, and we hurtled towards where the sound came.
Getting closer we could hear the definable sounds that a fight was happening, and the scent of blood was getting stronger as we closed in to the spot. The sight before us was something none of us really wanted to see.
A werewolf, undeniably Daniel, was fighting Sebastian. To my right I hear blondie hiss," I thought you'd killed him Phil." There'd be a lot,of explaining to do if we all got out of this alive. I hope that I don't.
Maybe there's a plot coming up who knows
