  " Hey Jess wake up its time to go, I already packed what we needed," crooks out Johnny.

 "Alright lets go then," i say sleepily

 My brother and I walk out to the fresh morning air and the breeze ever so wonderful, I wonder how my life can be so messed up and everyone else around me so happy and blind.

   The walk is trecherous and by the time we make it to the woods my legs feel wobble. My head throwbs of little sleep from last night I had a horrible nightmare of my parents alive but being ripped apart when a watchman charges throw the house looking for the mayors Jem. The furries is what we call them at school like in those creek myths; the creatures that work for Hades, God of the underworld, are like the watchman; ugly, mean, low life, heartless beast, the only difference is that the watchman are human. Or are they?

  " Alright so whats the plan?" questions Darious as he approches us from sitting by a new by tree.

  " He's probably going to take us somewhere he knows we cant be seen or heard by civilization or worse the watchman," says Johnny

 "Come on guys lets just get a move on, the faster we walk the less time we waste hear in the city," i exclaim.

  I get woozy and my brain begins to pound against my skull making my vision blurry. Every step we talk we get closer to Leon and the faster we get out of here the better. We finally reach the top of the hill and everyone is there already circled around Leon so we close it off as we encounter them.

 "Alright is everyone here," says Leon " okay lets get a move on them, we cant talk a car so we're going to walk the whole way and its a 3 day journey everyone up for it?"

 We all nod and head off into the woods leaving the past and what we knew behind us forever.

The first day was terrible. I twisted my ankle while jumping over the rocks past some creek and it felt like every rock and pebble and worm was trying to trip me. I was a disaster when i usually was my best when in the woods but it just wasnt my day.

 The second wasnt that good either, we had trouble finding a place to spend the night somewhere and to top it off, A huge storm was on its way. The rain pelted on us hard and we were soaking deep down, so deep it went to our under clothes.  We finally fund shelter some  where in the middle of nowhere. It was a little shack like Leons but more stuffy, but it had to do.

    " Im so cold and wet; can i change please?'' i ask my Johhny.

  "Sure, the bags by the door, and you can change behind those boxes over there ill block you if you want too," says Johnny

 '' Yea, thanks," i say

I grab the bag and hurry over to behind the boxes and stip out of my wet clothes as quickly as possible. The hairs on my skin rise and i get goosebumps all over my body and change at faster while doing so.

" Thanks Johnny,'' i reply

 " No problem," answears Johnny.

We walk back to where everyone sits around in the shack huddle up against eachother and somehow started a fire inside  here.

 " Get some rest and take shifts for the night, group one, which is Jess and Darious take the first shift everyone else get sme shut eye its going to be a long day tomorrow" claims Leon.

 Darious and I make our way towards the front of the shack and its darker up here then in the back and since its bigger than Leons shack we cant see or even here the others in the back anymore.

  " Are you cold?" asks Darious.

   "Yea a little," I say

   "Scoot over next to me ive got a blanket big enough for the both of us," he says

    " Okay," i whisper.

 I walk over and slide in next to Darious and he automatically wraps his arm around my shoulder enclosing the blanket around us. His body heat radiates and im warm within seconds and feel safe and happy. He smells fresh of mint and cologne making me want to smell more and more of it with every breathe.

  " Warm and compfy yet?'' he questions.

 " Very,'' I respond.

   "Jess can i tell you something?'' he bellows in a whisper.

  " Sure anything," i say

  " Well . you see.. I uh.. Ive had this crush on you since we were little and i thought maybe it would go away but at school when you were in the nurses office, while you were knocked out i was sitting there, looking at you and i realised i still had a thing for you," he says

  My heart flutters and the thought of Darious, thee Darious, my bestfriend falling for me could this day get any better. My face reddens and the littile light that seeps through the creek suddenly shines n my face giving away what i look like to Darious and when he sees my face he smiles from ear to ear which makes me grin too.

  "Well, Jess please say something,'' he pleads.

  "Johnny you dont know how long Ive waited for you to say that, I didnt have any feelings for you well i did but i just didnt want to except i did but now that its in the open im ganna have to say i have a thing for you too,'' I chirp.

Now it was his turn to blush. I looked at him again and took in his striking looks and breathe taking smell that would make you fall hard for him.

  " Well then, now that thats settled umh can i uhm... kiss you?" He asks.

    " Sure Darious,'' I say with a smile.

  He leans in forward and i stare down at his lips, so full and lushious, teasing me to go for it now, but i wait. Finally his lips crash onto mine, He takes control of the kiss and it gets good. My heart races faster and I get goosebumps all over my neck, arms and legs and my stomach flops all over the place like crazy. Its a sensation i have never felt before and gives me excitment and every time we stop for a breathe i ache for more.

  You know that old cliche thing where if you kiss and feel fireworks you'll last a long time. Well thats how it was except after every firework there was a bomb exploding and turning everything around us into ashes. It felt like time stopped for us and only us, it was amazing and of course my first kiss.

   " Jess, was that your first kiss?'' asks Darious after we stop for a breath.

  " Uh, yea it was and that was amazing," i exclaim.

  "It sure was, and im honored to be your first kiss,'' he whispers in my ear making me shudder with excitment "Okay now get some rest ill take the first shift and wake you in a bit alright,''

  I nodded and snuggeled in closer to him letting him wrap his arms around  my waist and running his hands through my hair and arms and i slowly start to fall asleep in my bestfreinds arms.
