Ink Love (Kaitlyn x Sammy Lawrence)

Chapter 7

Kaitlyn POV:

I woke up to see Sammy sitting in the chair I used to try hang myself with. He didn't realise I was awake yet he was holding his head in his hands I could tell he was crying. I felt bad for what I'd tried to do now.

"S-Sammy" I said weakly.

He looked up at me "K-Kaitlyn you're awake are you okay?"

"I'm fine"

"You had me worried there"

"I'm sorry Sammy"

"It's okay all I care about is that you're okay but why did you do that? Did I have something to to with it?"

I sat up quickly when he said that "What? No why would you even think that Sammy? You have nothing to do with this"

"It's just you wouldn't tell me what was wrong and you told Alice not to tell me about what you were doing to yourself so I thought it had something to do with me" he said looking down.

"Oh Sammy the reason I didn't want you to know was because I was afraid you'd flip out and even if you didn't I didn't want to upset you none of this is your fault" I said.

Sammy looked up at me again "Okay that's good then but why did you do it?"

I patted on the spot next to me on my bed I'd rather have Sammy sit beside me instead of in front of me when I tell him about this. Sammy sat down next to me on the bed.

"You remember when I told you about my past when we first met?" I asked.

Sammy nodded "Yes"

"Well recently I've started remembering everything about it I've been having flashbacks and constant nightmares about the horrific stuff I went through and its made me feel like I'm a mistake because that's why they hurt me like that because I was a mistake I thought I'd gotten over this the last few years but recently I suddenly just remembered everything every single detail it made me feel worthless and like a mistake again" I started crying uncontrollably when I'd finished.

Sammy put his hand on my shoulder I looked up at him with tears in my eyes.

"You're not a mistake Kaitlyn actually you're far from a mistake if you were a mistake then everyone else in this world would be a huge mistake you're the most perfect girl I've ever met in my life and you're parents were wrong to hurt you like that I font know why anyone would hurt their own child like that especially one as perfect as you I swear I'd kill them for what they've done to you I promised you I would protect you and I will I'm always here for you Kaitlyn..I love you"

D-Did you just say y-you l-love m-me?" I asked surprised at the last thing he said.

"Yes I did I know it's weird and you probably don't love me back but I hope you don't hate me for saying that I just had to-"

"Sammy it's fine" I said cutting him off "I actually love you too I just didn't think you'd feel the same way"

"You do?" he asked surprised.

"Yes I do"

"In that case then Kaitlyn will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes! Yes I will Sammy"

We laughed for a moment before Sammy said "Just promise me one thing"

"What?" I asked.

"That you won't do anything bad to yourself again I really don't want to lose you Kaitlyn"

"Okay Sammy I promise"

Sammy POV:

Me and Kaitlyn hugged each other tightly after she promised to not hurt herself anymore. I still can't believe she's my girlfriend I always thought there was no way shed feel that way about me. We pulled say from each other after a while. There was something I had to ask Kaitlyn though I feel bad for asking but I have to.

"Kaitlyn I'm sorry for asking but what exactly did they do to you?" I asked.

Kaitlyn looked down and said "Well you know they'd hit me for no reason and they'd barely feed me only if they had to and usually all I got then was a slice of bread and half a glass of water and if I made a mistake they'd tie my hands behind my back and lock me in a closet and leave me there until the next morning and a mistake to them was only something small like coming home a minute late from school or forgetting to do something so that happened a lot and well there was something else that my father would sometimes do to me....." She trailed off.

What would he do to you? I asked.

She looked at me and said "You know what"

I nodded knowing what she meant. Her 'father' has forced her into something she wasn't ready for. I looked at Kaitlyn and saw that she'd started crying again. I hugged her.

"Don't worry Kaitlyn I'm here for you always I'll never leave your side I don't let anyone hurt you ever again I wish I could make you forget about those awful things I wish I could erase them memories from your mind but I can't but I will help you get over it I promise" I said. She hugged me back

"Thank you Sammy I love you"

"I love you too Kaitlyn and always will"
