Chapter Six

when we got up to the office we all sat around the desk staring at a map of the pack's territory.

"they have to be getting in here." Damian said pointing to a section on the northern border where we only had two guards stationed to cover a 3.5 mile stretch of land. "it's our weakest point but we don't have the manpower to cover it fully."

"were going to have to take shifts the four of us because there's no way we can leave this gap open now that it has been discovered. Go get Sean we're going to need him I don't want Victoria to be out patrolling right now." Sebastian said.

Damian got up and headed upstairs to find my brother while Sebastian and I continued making plans for the added guards on the northern border. While we were finalizing our plans the door to the office swung open slamming into the wall behind it. instantly we were on our feet ready to defend against whoever was entering the room when I looked up at the door I saw a guard covered in blood standing in the doorway his chest rising and falling rapidly as he tried to catch his breath he ran to Sebastian dragging him out of the room without a word leaving me there staring after them.

I ran out of the room and down to the kitchen where the women of the pack were gathering. i searched around for Sebastian's mother finally spotting her in the corner consoling some of the pack warriors mates. i ran over to her and immediately began questioning her on what was happening.

" all i know is they sent extra warriors to the border just in time there was a massive rouge attack i'm not sure how many but it was bad enough they came for my husband and your mate."

instantly my Luna instincts took over i knew i had to protect the pack. all the men had left to fight the rouges leaving just a few guards behind in case anyone got past and headed for the house. I knew we had a hidden cellar bellow the house where we can hide everyone until this blows over. I ran over to the guard standing by the door way watching us all to get his help rounding everyone up. as i got closer i recognized the buy from my school we had art together his name was Adam. As i approached he slid his phone back into his pocket and stoo striaght.

"hello Luna" he said looking down at me.

"hey Adam, you don't have to call me Luna ya know. my name works just fine."

"sorry Lun-i mean Victoria. what do you need?"

"i need your help gathering the remaining pack members. find all women, children and anyone incapable of fighting and bring them to the kitchen. quickly."

"Right away Luna." he said heading off to search the house. i headed into the kitchen to try and calm the pack members gathering in hopes of news from their mates. after a few minutes everyone was together and i climbed up to stand on the kitchen counter to make sure i can be seen and heard by everyone.

"okay i need everyone to calm down and listen to me." i yelled over the crowed of worried mates. " there is a place bellow us where we can go to be safe. i'm going to lead you all down there now i just need you to all stay calm and follow me ill explain everything as soon as everyone is in and protected okay." there were whispers of agreement among the crowed as everyone followed down the hall behind me i opened the door to one of the coat closets and pushed the hanging clothing to the side revealing a hidden door in the back i carefully popped the wooden paneling out and punched in the code to the security door once it was opened i stepped to the side and let the pack members begin flooding in. once the last person was inside i stationed two guards in front of the door for added protection before stepping inside and sealing the door behind me. i walked into the large room to be faced with hundreds of pack members sitting on cots. mothers sat comforting their children while the single wolves consoled their friends who sat worried about their mates. I could feel the fear in the air and i knew as Luna it was my job to do something. just as i was about to speak I felt someones hand land on my shoulder. i turned to see Sebastian's mother standing behind me.

"you've got this dear. just take a deep breath and listen to your instincts. your a luna now its in your blood to care for your pack."

" i know i got this thanks ma." i hugged her, took a deep breath and turned to face my pack.

"hey can i get everyone's attention!!" i called out over the roar of people talking. it took a few seconds but finally everyone quiet down but eventually i had the undivided attention of al the pack members in the room.

"okay as i'm sure you all know by now we are under attack but i don't want anyone to panic alright. i'm sure you're all worried about your mates and friends who are out fighting but they have all been well trained by our alpha and are prepared to defend themselves. i have full faith in our alpha to lead our warriors through this battle safely. I will let you know as soon as I have any new information until then please sit relax and try to keep your minds off the situation going on outside I promise you are all perfectly safe down here" as soon as I finished talking conversation erupted around me. I left the safe room and went back out to talk to the warriors and see if I could get information to help sooth the pack members hiding inside.
