The Sweet Vampire

Babysitting

"Thanks again for coming on such a short notice Lilliana, our other baby-sitter got sick and we couldn't miss this" Mrs. Thompson smiled brightly at the young ginger girl who had just been invited into their home, well more like a small castle. "I got your number from my husbands boss, he said you have watched his two grandkids before" Lilliana smiled brightly up at Mrs. Thompson. 

"Don't worry about the short notice, I don't have much of a life" Lilliana was still wearing her sunglasses which was very weird seeing as it was already dark out but Mrs. Thompson didn't question it. "Where is your son? Tony wasn't it?" Lilliana's thick Aussie accent came out during the questions. 

"Oh he is upstairs" Mrs. Thompson smiled brightly "I will be back" She said before walking up the steps. Lilliana blinked slightly confused at the action, normally the parents wanted her to meet the child before they left not stay downstairs. She looked around the room, her soft chocolate brown eyes shining behind the sunglasses as she walked around staying near the stairs until she heard footsteps coming down the steps followed by another softer pair. She went back to the stairs expecting to see Mrs. Thompson and Tony but was meant with Mrs and Mr Thompson. "Tony is just upstairs drawing" Mrs. Thompson smiled at her "He already ate dinner he just needs to be in bed by 9, you are more then welcome to watch tv or make yourself something to eat if you get hungry. Our phone numbers are on the fridge if you need anything please call us" 

"Also tony is going through this..Vampire phase.." Mr. Thompson started talking but after the word vampire left his mouth Lilliana stopped listening. Not that she thought it was crazy, quite the opposite actually but she was in her own mine set until she heard the door open. "We shouldn't be back to late tonight" Mr. Thompson finished talking and Lilliana smiled and nodded like she had been listening. 

"Don't worry you two, Tony is in great hands" Lilliana smiled and waved after them before pulling the door closed behind the two of them. She stayed downstairs for a few moments taking a few deep breaths before turning and walking up the steps. 

Lilliana took a moment to look at the photos that hung around the stair case going up to the next floor. She had a strange feeling as she got closer to Tony's room that she had second thoughts about going into it but she had to at least say hello to the boy. Besides she wanted to meet the boy who has a liking for vampires. She knocked on is door before walking in to see him drawing at his desk. He turned around and hissed at her with paper fangs sticking out of his mouth. She jumped not expecting that to happen. 

"My lord" Lilliana chucked putting a hand on her chest as she took a deep breath surprised that the boy had scared her. "You must be tony" She smiled and when she noticed the lights were nearly off she slipped off her sunglasses and sat down on the bed. "You have a thing for vampires?"

"You probably think I'm crazy" Tony said softly looking down at his drawings sadly. 

"Of course not" Lilliana smiled which made Tony look up at her surprised "I believe in vampires myself actually" His eyes lit up as he heard her tell him that. 

That was all it took for him to start opening up to this baby-sitter. Tony started to tell her all about the dreams he started to have once he and his family moved into the house. While Tony was telling her the dreams, Lilliana was listening carefully and trying to think of why he was getting these dreams if they were about some vampire artifact. She jumped when tony suddenly put 'blood' or Ketchup on a teddy bear and was pretending to attack it and 'drinking it's blood'. She giggled slightly but looked towards the window when she heard the squeaking of a bat flying inside. She stood up surprised just as the bat flew into the room and into the fire place Tony strangely had in his room. Tony and Lilliana walked over to the fire place, with Lilliana slightly more confident then tony but they were both rather scared to find out what was inside.
