MALAMIG na simoy ng hangin ang dumampi sa balat ko. I never appreciated how beautiful the ocean is. I threw a pebble on the water hoping that it would reach them.

The clock was ticking... tik tok tik tok...
Pero wala pa ring balita tungkol kay Gian.

Is he okay?

Is he pained?

"Mommy!!" I saw Kei running towards me with his toy airplane in his hand. "Zooom!"

"Kei, be careful. Baka madapa ka." As if on que, nadapa nga si Kei. I was about to rush to him when Kio ran after him and helped him stand up.

"Kei, what did I tell you about running around? I told you it's dangerous!" Kio said in a scolding voice to Kei. Kei was just crying. I came to them and kissed Kei.

"There, mommy kissed the pain away. Stop crying na ha?"

"Tatay told us we should grow up strong." Kio added. I paused for a while as I heard him say that.

"Mommy, I miss Tatay..." Kei said with agonizing eyes. I bitterly smiled.

"I miss him, too. Kei."

"Mommy, why is Tatay inside? What is wrong? Why are there a lot of people around him?" Kei asked. The twins were around since it started. They wouldn't want to go home because they want to be there when he wakes up.

"Tatay is sick, and we want him to get well so the doctors and nurses are curing him."

"Tatay will get well di'ba Mommy?" I smiled at Kio.

"Let's pray for him to get well, okay? Your Tatay will fight for the both of you."

"Ma'am si Kylie po kanina pa po umiiyak, ayaw pong tumahan." Napatayo naman ako sa kinauupuan ko.

"Sige manang, puntahan ko muna siya. Pakibantayan na muna 'tong kambal." Dumiretso ako sa loob ng beach house at pinuntahan si Kylie sa kwarto nito. She was crying. Siguro ay nagugutom na ito.

Samantha Kylie Cristobal. The newest member of our family. Sa lahat ng pinagbuntis ko, she was the easiest one. Hindi niya ako pinahirapan lalo na sa mga cravings ko. Our first baby girl.

"Kylie, what's the matter? What's wrong?" I asked her but she's still crying. I offered her milk but she didn't like it and even threw it on the floor.

"Baby.. ano bang gusto mo?" I asked her again while caressing the back of her head.

"Tara nga dito, baby." I sighed when Kylie stopped crying as he caressed her back. "Namiss ba ako ni baby?"

"What took you so long? Pinabili lang kita ng snacks ah!" Nabaling ang tingin ko sa limang supot na dala-dala niya. I mentally facepalmed myself.

"Gian Rafael." He just looked at me and smiled widely.

"Excuse me?" Naalimpungatan ako nang magsalita ang doctor. Kaagad akong napatayo at lumapit sakanya. "Mrs. Cristobal.."

"Doc, kamusta po? Kamusta po si Gian?" Ganon nalang ang kaba ko nang walang bakas ng ngiti ang sumilay sa mukha nito. Maya maya ay lumabas na ng operating room ang walang malay na si Gian.

"Gian!"

"Don't worry, Gian is now okay. The operation was a success. It's a good thing Grade I brain tumor ito and we completely removed the tumor. Mr. Cristobal fought as well, it's not a joke being there. Right now, hintayin na lamang natin na magkamalay ito and always maintain a good healthy lifestyle." Nakahinga ako nang maluwag nang sabihin yon ng doctor. Tumagal ng 9 hours ang operation ni Gian and I thank God for a successful operation. I was tearing up as I saw Gian. I held his hand.

"Thank you, Gian."

"Inaaway ka ba ni Mommy? Inaaway ka ba? Sshh, don't worry Princess I'm here na. I'll protect you from Mommy." Gian said with a teasing voice. Naningkit ang mata ko sakanya.

"Kei and Kio missed you already. Have you seen them?" Gian showered Kylie with kisses before answering me.

"Yes, I told them I'll go to Kylie first and then I'll play with them. My princess missed me." I am having a feeling Kylie will grow up as a spoiled little girl to her dad. Ever since she came to our lives, she was Gian's sunshine.

"Kaunti na lang pagseselosan ko na si Kylie." I said in a very very silent tone. Suddenly, Gian pulled me closer and kissed me fully on my lips.

"Don't be jealous, mommy. You are still my queen." Inirapan ko lang si Gian at kinuha si Kylie at lumabas ng beach house.

"Baby Kylie is here!" I heard Kei shouted. The twins ran after me and kissed Kylie.

"Waah!" Kylie started crying again so Gian took her from me. "Waaaaah!!"

Kei looked at me with teary eyes. "Mommy.. does Kylie hate us?"

"No baby, she is just too sensitive because she is too small. So always be careful to her. Okay? I bought you chocolates!" Sabi ni Gian. Mukhang nagliwanag naman ang mukha nang kambal nang sabihin yon ni Gian.

"It's almost dinner time. Is it even okay for them to eat chocolate?" I asked. Gian just smiled.

"Mommy... just three chocolate bars. Please?" Kio said. I sighed.

"Okay, okay. Just three okay?"

"Yey!" Mabilis na tumakbo ang kambal sa loob ng beach house.

A year has passed. Simula nang gumaling si Gian ay hindi ko na siya hinayaan pang uminom at binantayan ko lahat ng kinakain niya. I was thankful of having him back and I want to make sure that I will have no shortcomings in regards to his health.

"Maraming bagay ang nangyari." Gian said. "But still, hindi ka nawala. Kahit na ako yung pinakagagong lalaking matuturing, nagpapasalamat pa rin ako sa Diyos na binigyan pa rin niya ako ng pagkakataong maging masaya." Gian held my hand. "Promises are made to be broken so I won't promise anything. I will always be lacking as your husband but I will do my best to be the one for you, Vannie."

He caressed my cheek. "I love you, Ivannah. I love you." He kissed me on my forehead, next to my nose and lastly, he kissed me fully on my lips.

A kiss full of passion, a kiss full of our love.

"Mommy------"

"Sssh! H'wag kang maingay, Kei!" Sabay kaming napalingon sa likod at doon ko nakita ang kambal kasama ang buong pamilya namin. I felt myself blush so hard as I realized they were watching us this whole time.

"Lara Ivannah..." I saw my Dad's face as hard as a rock. Sa lahat ng ito, ayaw na ayaw niya ang PDA. "What did I tell you about-----"

Mabilis na tinapik ni Mommy ang bibig ni Dad. She smiled and looked at me. "It's okay anak. Don't mind us. Continue."

Gian started laughing and all I can do was bite my lip. Tumayo kaming dalawa at naglakad palapit sa kanila pero bago pa man kami makalapit ay hinila ako ni Gian palapit sakanya and kissed me again.

"Ang pag-ibig parang laro, may mga panahong matatalo ka dahil sa palagay mo mahina ka pa. Pero dahil hindi mo sinusukuan, darating ang panahon na matatapos mo yun at mananalo ka. At yun ang mahalaga."
