"You wouldn't guess who I hung out with yesterday at the movie premiere," I excitedly said to Cal.
"No need to say," Cal said with a frown on his face. "I need to go. I got things to do. The show is about to end in a few weeks and I need to get something done before we all leave."
He brushed past me, without another word said. I watched his retreating back with confusion. Maybe he was just having an off day? Yeah, probably.
"What's wrong with Cal," I asked Ty.
"Stop acting so innocent Everly," Ty said, anger evident on his face. "We all know what you did. I can't believe you did that. After what Cal told me, I thought you really liked him. I guess I was wrong. You're no better than Kalista. Actually, you're worse than her."
I stood still, shocked and confused.
"Ty, what are you talking about? I didn't-"
"Cut the act, Ever. It's done. Congratulations. You hurt him and everyone else who cares for him."
"But I do-"
"Don't even dare finish that sentence," he seethed. His futures relaxed but a frown replaced his angry face. "I saw you as a sister." His eyes glistened.
I didn't like seeing him this way. I wanted to fix whatever was going on. But I didn't even know what I did wrong! What got Ty and Cal to suddenly hate me?
"I don't see what you could have possibly gained from doing that. Did you want more attention, was that it?"
"I-"
"Don't even answer that. After what happened, I think you made it pretty clear."
I threw my hands up in frustration as Ty walked out the room in a blink of an eye.
I was going to go after him but Darcy came rushing into the room stopping me from following him.
"Sully, you got to come with me," she tugged at my arm, making me following her.
"Darcy, what's going on," I asked her.
"I'm sorry Sully, but I can't answer that question for you because I don't know for sure. But I do know the girls have something behind their backs."
"What do you mean?"
We stopped in front a door that said, Producer's Room. Darcy opened the door without knocking. We stepped into the spacious room.
"What are we doing in here," I asked.
"Holden, Cyan," Darcy called out and out they popped out from behind the couch that sat in the corner of the room.
"Hey Sully," they greeted.
"Hey," I said confused as to what was going on. Today is such a confusing day.
"Holden and Cyan were being troublemakers but this time it paid off. Tell her guys."
"We found out that the studio is getting dropped," Holden said, frantically.
"In other words, the show is not getting another chance to run on tv for next year. They are being cut," Cyan clarified after seeing my confused face.
"Yeah, Ty already mentioned the possibility of that happening," I said.
"Well, did you know that Sweet Roses was paying Drake to make sure they win the competition," Holden asked in a rush flailing his arms around the tv that had a tap playing that showed Drake, the host, and Kalista along with her bandmates making a deal. Kalista handed money over to Drake. They were talking about something, I couldn't hear because the volume was low but after some time they parted ways and the screen turned empty.
