If I have to be honest banshee has always caught my interest from when I was just 8 to now and I have always tried to get alot of information about them to know more. Now from all that time I can finally tell you about the banshee.
Banshee is a creature from the irish and scottish folklore and once you hear the cry or scream of a banshee it means someone you know will die. Banshees mostly follows specific families and if you hear a group of banshees crying it means someone important will die soon.
The banshee can either look like a young beautiful woman, a handsome lady or a old woman. Sometimes a banshee can be seen washing bloodstained clothes that belongs to the one who will die and those are then called as Bean-nighe.
It is said that even are also fairies and they even accept alcohol as a payment. There are however good banshees and they have a strong connection with the family and when they appear they look like very beautiful women and they would even sing a song that is sad and haunting but it's filled with love and concern for the family.
You can hear the song a few days before the family member dies. No one knows however how the banshee even gets to know about the person's death but there's a theory about that every family member has a observer following them and then reporting it to the banshee.
But of course the banshees only exists now in fairytales... Right?
