JOLINA'S POV

Sumunod na lang ako sa kama kay Carl since mas maliit naman talaga ang sofa dito kesa kina lolo Lorenzo at isa pa hindi ako makatulog ng maayos kapag nasa sofa. Plus the fact, that the elders are just around. Mahirap magpalipat lipat ng pwesto.

Nang nakahiga na kami ni Carl, I felt uneasy. I tried to lie down in different positions to make myself sleep pero hindi talaga. Samantalang ang unggoy na katabi ko hindi gumagalaw.

Tumayo ako at umikot sa pwesto nito at saka sinilip para siguraduhin kung talagang tulog na si Carl.

But when I draw near him to peep while my face is just a few inches away from his he grabbed me so, I fell on top of him.

"Ugh!" I struggled to get off from him.

"Did you try to kiss me?" He was laughing at me.

I hit him on his chest many times.

"Ang kapal ng mukha mo!"

"Aaw! Aray! Amazona ka ba?" Bumangon ito at umupo hawak hawak ang kamay ko.

"Nakakabuwisit ka kasi!"

"Ang sakit na ha!"

"Ikaw na nga nagtangkang manghalik ikaw pa galit." Sabi nito sabay bitiw ng kamay ko.

"I'm not going to kiss you! Never! Nakakadiri ka kaya! Kung sino sino ng babae ang.."

"Pa'no mo nalaman? In-istalk mo ko no?"

"I just knew it." Inirapan ko siya at saka nag-cross ng arm

"Alam mo Carl that is gonna be the last thing that would ever enter my mind. Ang kapal mo!"

"FYI lang miss mentalist, tatlo pa lang ang minahal ko sa tanang buhay ko yung isa pa do'n ang mommy ko and the other one.. (sigh) di ko pa naging girlfriend."

"Na-basted ka?" I asked giggling.

Actually if that's true hindi ko yata kayang paniwalan sa dami ng umaaligid na babae sa unggoy na 'to.

"Hindi naman.." he paused.

"Teka nga, I'm the one who should be asking you. Why were you trying to kiss me?"

"I'm not. And I won't. And God forbid please!" I acted praying.

He suddenly prodded his arm.

"Wow choosy ka pa? Gandang lalaki ng asawa mo, men!" He jokingly said rubbing his palm on the side of his head.

"At saksakan din ng yabang!" I said rolling my eyes at him.

After saying that we heard someone knocks at the door.

He got up and opened it.

"Mommy!" He screamed gladly.

Nagyakap ang mag-ina. Bumangon na din ako sa pagkakahiga.

"Hi Leng!" Bati ni tita Alice.

Gumapang ako sa kama para makatayo at makalapit sa kanya.

I kissed her left cheek and she hugged me.
