As a child Reina saw her brother kill himself. They were playing hide and seek. He was it.
“One.” He began and she took off, black hair flowing as she ran into her big brothers room.
“Two.” She held back a giggle as she got into his closet, the shutters blocking her from him yet she could still see everything.
“Three.” He headed into his room now with quiet footsteps. This confused Reina, Why was he cheating?
“Four.” His breath caught in his throat as he pulled out a rope. Reina kept quiet, maybe they would play cowboys.
“Five.” Tears welled in the older boys eyes and Reina frowned biting her lip to stop from comforting her brother.
“Six.” She doesn’t make a sound to leave no risk of being caught.
“Seven.” He steps on a chair tying the rope to his fan making a noose.
“Eight.” She watches clutching her little hands into a fist.
“Nine.” He sobs out putting the noose around his neck.
“Ten. Ready or not. I love you.” He says loudly as he steps off the chair.
Reina waited for her brother to get down but he never did.
He just hung their lifelessly.
