"Beep! Beep! Beep! Bee-"

"Fuuuuuck." I groan pulling myself from my sleeping bag and stretching. "Dad. Get up and drive me to school."

"You can drive yourself, you're 17." He tugged his sleeping bag, and went back to sleep. I love cars but driving scares the living shit out of me. I changed into all my best clothes and grabbed my Deadpool backpack.

It was now Thursday and I was all registered in the highschool across town. Outside was freezing cold, the windows were icy and it was still really dark. I climbed into my Dads 1969 Chevy Chevelle, Journey still playing when I turned it on.  I let it run and get heated before leaving.

The high school was bigger than I expected for a town this size. Students were gawking at me as I parked and walked inside. I walked to the front desk. "Hi, I'm new and here to get my schedule."

The woman kept looking st her computer. "Name?"

"Klea Locklear." I waited for a few moments and jumped when the printer next to her desk started printing. She handed it over. "Thank you."

"No problem."

I took a left towards my locker number, pushing through crowds of people. They were all pointing and snickering as I made my way and instead decided to leave to first period. Not many people were in there, I guess geometry isn't all that loved here. I hated math. Mostly because I've been held back in math class since sixth grade. I sat in the back corner away from everyone. The teacher wasn't in the room til the bell rang. She rushed in faster than the roadrunner.  "OK, class. I was just informed that we have a new student." My heart jumped. "Klea Locklear, a senior, just moved in. Why don't you come up Klea."

I slowly shuffled to the front. "Hi..." I mumbled.

"Hi Klea." They all said. I rushed back to my seat and a boy with bleached blonde hair and tan skin next to me leaned over.

"I'm a senior too. Name's Jaime." He held his hand out. I took it.

"Nice to meet you Jaime."

"So, you hear about the dance Friday?"

I furrowed my brows. "Dance?"

"Halloween dance. We have one every year. You should go."

I nodded and continued listening to the teacher.

"How was school?" My dad asked.

"I made an acquaintance. Other than that, it sucked." I sat up from the floor. "He said there's a dance tomorrow, for Halloween."
