Chapter Thirty Six
~Zander's POV~
"Radcliff needs us at base." Jaxton curtly said.
Nodding, we both took off. Once we got to base, we forced our way to the middle of the crowd.
"My brothers and sisters - we have been hiding for nearly two decades from the newest breed of nimrods. Their newest leaders, George and Krista Jade, are nothing short of merciless. It is time for us to finally take back what is rightfully ours, this world! We were created to protect the norms, not hide from these dreadful hunters! They think they know best.. They know nothing!" He paused as we, the crowd, cheered. "We are the rising angels, we shall not let these lunatics ruin anymore of us! I am done with these monstrous nimrods killing our family. We are done hiding!" He threw his fist in the air.
The crowd followed the gesture, throwing fists up with a "yeah!"
"We will hunt them down and make them pay for the slaughtering of our very own!"
"Yeah!"
"We will finish the nimrods!"
"Yeah!"
"WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS!"
"YEAH!"
"So, allow me to lead you, my brothers and sisters - allow me to lead you all to the path of righteousness!" The crowd went wild, screaming such things like 'kill them,' and 'make them pay!'
I shook my head, not agreeing with this.
"No!" Jaxton shouted, causing the roar of cheers to silence. At least a hundred heads turned to look at him. Many glared, snarling at him. "You can't do this." He demanded. I mentally face palmed. Way to walk into a bloodbath, stupid.
Some people started advancing to him, not happy at all with what he had to say. I protectively stepped in front of him, "What he meant to say was; this isn't right." I started, looking over the crowd. They all look ready to rip our throats out.
Good luck getting through our girls. I smugly thought, but decided against saying it.
"Stand down, my brothers and sisters." Radcliff ordered, walking to us and standing directly in front of us. He cocked his head, "Explain."
"You accuse them of treason, but you plan to invade their homes. You blame them for killing our own, but intend to do the same to them. We were made to protect this world, not to conflict war!" I loudly state.
"You agree with the ways of those murderers?" Radcliff looked at me ludicrously, raising his arms.
I sighed, trying to control my anger, "Not at all. But, they are still normals. Killing normals is forbidden. Why go kill them when we could make amends? We should try to avoid conflict at all times!" I declare, raising my voice.
The others all looked amongst each other, looking for answers on what to do.
"Exactly," Jaxton cleared his throat, stepping out from behind me. I'm honestly surprised he actually stayed back there.
All eyes shot to him expectantly. "We should not stoop down to their level. Don't mimic their pettiness. They are just confused. They were taught to hate us and trained to kill us. Its Roman we have to blame." He stated.
There were a few people who said 'yeah', agreeing with what he had to say. I looked over to my best mate proudly.
"Not even Roman. This is all Richards doing. He gave us a foul name. He poisoned the name of our kind. He thrived for us to be evil." I voiced, making eye contact with the crowd. "We overpowered the evil suffocating our world once, and we can do it again!" I encouraged, my tone leaving no room for uncertainty.
